Hello all just thought I'd share that after many attempts I finally achieved the under 4 seconds club in my 2017 BMW M2
Obviously it has been achieved thanks to upgrades. Stock the best I got was 4.2 seconds Then the following upgrades HRE R101 LW ( weight saved ) Akrapovic downpipe and M performance exhaust Wagner intercooler Custom Tune to 405bhp and 600 Nm Sport Cup 2 tires Ideal conditions for launch it was warm the tires were also at around 30 degrees Celsius, with the launch control notched down several times I think I had it at 3000rpm, I think this is the best launch setting because the wheels don't really slip as much which is where the time is lost! The best time so far is 3.97 seconds! It's crazy to think my dads 2008 Porsche Turbo (4WD) was put down as 3.7 from porsche themselves and here I am in an M2 so close to it I love it! All in all it's just numbers, the real fun is on those B roads but I just thought I'd share this for others who are maybe hoping to achieve the same! ( hope you like the new wrap! It's similar to the Frozen Grey of the M5) Cheers Kris Last edited by krizze; 07-22-2019 at 03:01 AM.. |

Thank you sir! I wasn't aiming for the M5 look but it turned out that way! A little more classy after my bright purple wrap

Interesting. I came across a news article this morning claiming they did a 3.9 0-60mph in the M2C with a manual vs M2C with DCT that did it in 4.0

Awesome! Congrats. I need to find a patch of pavement to test my 0-60. All I ever used launch control for was at default 3500rpm when kids in my neighborhood want a ride. I have a route that I take for them which involves a donut in a hidden parking lot, then to a underground parking garage to hear the backfires of the Stg2 AGG tune, then finish it off with launch control on a (quite short) road near my house. Just long enough to get out of first gear.

Correct. Equivalent in metric is 96.5606km/h. So...knock off the tenth(s) that it took you to go from 96.5605 to 100 and you have the actual 0-60m/h number.
@ OP - Alternatively, you can set the AWRON to Imperial just for the test, then switch it back to Metric. |
