Yes, they are LED but I do not like the colour temperature. Far to Yellow for my tastes. I would prefer a cooler whiter light output.

Solder Wizard have you tried changing any SMD's?

There was some talented but dodgy Eastern European bloke outside of London that did the craziest shit with 'em

Those are for a car that comes with bulbs. The M2 doesn't, it's all chips on boards, because it's already LEDs.

Short of pulling the boards out and desoldering the LEDs and replacing with new ones, there's nothing you can do. I think the stock lighting is terrific, the only thing I dislike is that the door puddle lights are mismatched compared to the interior. They went with a warmer more natural light for the interior, but then the puddle lights and exterior handle lights are very cool blue, it's kind of strange.

The reason for the mismatched puddle lights to interior lights has to do with, I guess you can call it, light color theory.

White light offers greater visibility and dynamic range. This is why white light is used in the puddle lights, for kitchen's and bathrooms, headlights, spotlights, studio lights for filming/photography, work lights, etc.

Yellow light is more calming. Which is why it's used for interiors, living rooms, bedrooms, lamps/nightstands, etc.
