Interesting post because this is the exact thing I am going through. M2, 991 911 C2S or possibly wait for more info on the new ZL1. I've driven quite a few 911s and am currently interested in this one.
https://lenstolerporsche.com/invento...a+White+626554 The price difference is still a good chunk but man does that car handle and sound amazing. One of the biggest draws I have to the M2 and that pulls me away from the Porsche it tunability. I love after market fun and the 911 (NA models) just doesn't have much that can be done to it to get more power or customize the outside of it to make it your own except for wheels. Anything you do upgrade on a 911 will cost way more than it should. We all know the aftermarket options for the M2 will be endless to say the least. Plus BMW and Porsche kinda have two difference scene and personally I prefer the BMW one. Probably because I'm immature and like tuning |

This is a great thread. I wanted an M2c for a daily driver/work car, but checked out 1LE Camaros as well. Could find a black one with the right trim (2SS) that would make go that route. I did Finns a new M2c in LBB w/ a 6Mt though. It’s stuck at the port for the airbag recall, so here I am still looking. I looked at Caymans, but I want some room. Turns out, I could prob afford a used 911. But they all have PDKs. I realize it’s better, but if I’m racking up tons of miles, I want to be happy doing it. Ventilated seats could change my mind. So we’ll see if the right 991 pops up.
I prob can’t afford a 911 that’s new enough to have Apple CarPlay though, so always a compromise it seems. |

Oh, the M2 can fly under the radar a bit where the fuzz is concerned compared to a hot wheels looking Camaro or an iconic 911....

I kinda agree with this, but if equipped with the LED headlights and GTS/aerokit the 991.1 isn't too bad. And of course the GT3 is still modern looking. The standard 991.1 does look a bit dated IMO. The 991.2 is a big improvement.

I don't find 991 or 981 to have a dated exterior at all, personally. 997 and 987, yes.
