For those who are looking forward to having the car tuned? i was speaking with a friend who has a tune shop about a car he recently did and he tod me they have a beta obdII protocol available . it's still in beta so he used the pinout. something is going on...

JUST my luck...I got tired of waiting and pulled the ECU from my m2c myself. Thought it’d be too difficult for me but after getting a quote from an independent Euro specialist garage for $850 to remove and install, I decided I could do it. Really wasn’t too hard. Took my time. Start to finish a little over 2 hours. I bet next time I could cut that in 1/2. Several videos online.

I am almost at this point. Though the few videos I found on S55 ECU removal have convinced me to avoid it. Almost every video I watched either time lapsed through all of the parts below the charge cooler, or had such poor camera angles that you couldn't tell what was going on.

I'm unfortunately not confident in myself enough to trust that I know WTF they are talking about when they say remove X from Y when I can't see WTF they are even talking about.

If you ever do it again. A nice write up with pictures/videos would be pretty rad.

it's a shop in nothr italy. just because it doesn't have a huge name doesen't mean he is not good enough
