They will not yellow. I have the clear aftermarket ones on my 535I for a couple years and they still look like new. As far as why.... personal taste. I just emailed another eBay vendor that sells them for other BMWs asking if they had any plans for M2 clear ones. No joy. Ugh.....

Like Chuck said, just personal taste. I have them on my E46 M3 and think they really look great and more benign than the DOT yellow.

To me, bodycolor\painted ones just highlight the gaps.....looking at it you know something is supposed to be there, but what?

With the clear, you know it's a spot for a reflector but the clear is much less obnoxious than the yellow.

It's been a while and these are still not available. Crap.

Has anyone tinted them? Curious how well that holds up.

Subscribed... I'll probably, reluctantly, go with colour matched until this is available, but would car prefer clear reflectors.

Are the M2 reflectors different from a regular 2er?

Bump!

Any updates? Wouldn't mind seeing a clear option to be honest.

Double bump. Can’t believe we don’t have these as an option yet. Untapped market!

I'm going to see if I can get some made custom. I'll report back and make available if I'm successful

There is a company called "Helix" that just recently started making them for the M240i in 'smoked' or 'clear..'

Hopefully, they'll soon start designing one for the M2.

I'm here for this too would definitely prefer clear over the painted option, not only because I think it would look better but because I feel like the IND part is WAY overpriced at 175+

IND is like the corner store, they carry just about everything you need in a pinch, and they are way overpriced on all of it.

I'd like the clear side markers as well, but would prefer them a medium smoke color instead of bright.

I figure someone will post a link to the clears on read about 15 minutes after I sell the car.

That won’t be for many years.

After 4 years, if they're not around....sadly, I don't think they're coming around.

I'd be first on the list. Drove my old e46 M3 the other day (needed to haul home a new cat tower so the convertible top helped with that). When I was walking up to it in the parking lot I noticed the clears I have on that car and remembered how good it looked.

Oh well............I'm not completely giving up.....yet
