Ordered!

I always stick my phone upright in the cup holder, but if I get on it too hard, it pops out and ends up in my lap!

I used the proclip on other cars in the past, but I want something easily removable for my M2. This seems like the one, thanks for the link.

One data point.

I've had my phone bounce out of that X style ram mount while on the track.

Ordered, installed, returned .

Great concept, it just didn't work with my manual tranny. I tried it in both cup holders and in different positions, but I still hit it in certain gears. Darn!

I use this one in both my cars and love it:

https://www.xvida.com/collections/p2...or-smartphones

I also have their 3 in 1 home charger:

https://www.xvida.com/products/tripl...or-smartphones

Can't reccomend their products enough. They're also on amazon if you want the fast shipping and free returns.

Two things to note for the car charger;

1. The cord they include is far too long so I would reccomend getting one that's ≤ 1ft:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2. The included 12v to usb adapter doesn't seem to work in either my M2 or my F30. It works in the rear but not the front so I guess it's too short to hit the connections in the front outlet. I just substituted it with another 3rd party one and it works perfectly fine now.

I don't like the idea of blocking the vents and all those buttons.

The way I have it installed It only blocks one vent and the # 1,2 and 3 buttons on the radio. Doesn't bother me at all. Every phone mount is going to block something, whether it's your view out of the windshield, a cup holder or vent. I've looked and tried a ton of set ups with different products and the reality is that there's no perfect set up, there's always some compromise. The fact that this mount is magnetic and wirelessly charges my phone without overheating makes it perfect for me. Your mileage may vary.

The kuda mount does not cover the vent nor the buttons. Pair it with any holder, wireless, magnetic, or swivel mount.

Pic is for a 1 series, but it is compatible with the F22:

It's very clean looking but unfortunately not a good alternative for me personally. It's a bit too low and too far away for my taste. I like my phone to be near eye level and within an easily reachable distance. Also the phone overheating while wireless charging is a big issue for my iPhone X. The vent mount is great for this because I can blow cold air right at it.

I have the iPhone X Plus, but I haven't used wireless charging, so that might be a legitimate concern. However, cold isn't the best for batteries. If you can reach over to the 8 button, then the phone isn't too far. Besides, I'd rather have to reach 5-8 inches to the right than lose a vent or lose 3 memory buttons. I use it to put in my destination then I set it on the mount. Most controls can be done through carplay when playing music anyway.
