Changed it myself, then took it in for them to reset the interval / mark in the system that it had been done.

Purely out of curiosity, since I assume you bought new and have 3 years maintenance, why not just let them do it for free?

My car is a US car but I accepted it in South Korea as part of BMW Mil Sales, but for whatever reason Korea won't honor US Warranty. So that actually meant that is something broke, it's on my dime to fix. Same goes for maintenance, you have to pay. So they wanted like close to $400 for service.

As far as the break in service, nobody knew what it was anyway. After asking around M cars don't do it in Korea?? Anyway I had them mark it in the system anyway.

Finally, I feel that Motul is a better oil product than what BMW provides, so I don't mind doing it myself.
