Any thoughts about the difference between manual or dct?

I'm used to both aut and man but what will be more fun in this car?
If you're not made out of money I would buy the parts from Germany as you will get about 20% discount on all parts (15% discount + 6% lower VAT) and then a euro conversion that is better than what BMW offers. Buying most parts from dealers in Germany is cheaper than what your dealer have to pay for the parts to begin with.

Regarding the DCT and manual questions, it is down to personal preference only. I always prefer auto/DCT where someone else hates it.

It will only be the rear camera right?
So not that big of an issue if we don't consider the LCI parts. There will always be something else coming "soon". But if you can wait for something it would be the LCI.

Well what i read about it is also

Navigation will be standard the basic one but that also includes the 8.8 inch screen, witch would be the only reason to get navigation.
unless they've changed that and i have missed that part of the information.

And also hitting the 2017 models / 2018 might include other stuff we don't know yet about them.

What i oped in for in terms of extra equipment i choose!

*Auto dimming rear view mirror and side mirrors witch includes electric folding mirrors to.
*Remote controlled alarm
*Folding rear seats
*Navigation Professional
*Harman/Kardon
*Blacked out rear window and side windows
*Rear view camera

In terms of price i am not sure i can post it here. But would be nice to discuss with another person here thru private messaging. On this page.

EU laws demanding navigation? I know they talked about eCall and that the car had to be able to call for help but I have not heard about navigation.

If it is not 609 Professional Navigation the screen is as big as the 8.8" screen but the actual viewable screen size is still as small as the non navigation screen.

Unfortunately not, there are three sizes but most people only know of two as that is all we get in Sweden. But standard navigation is included in the base equipment in a lot of countries already (the UK for instance).

Good to know that means i can put the 19 900 sek on either something else like M-performance parts like the spoiler and such.

It sounds more reasonable then spending that much on navigation that i would never use anyways.

And this time i might not get the sunroof but i ain't sure yet about that one considering i have been using my sunroof a lot last year on the 235 when the sun was out.

If you spend the 19k you get he full 8.8" screen though. It is just base navigation that gets the smaller screen.

If BMW AB add more stuff as standard, (as official importers do in other countries eg: BMW GB, BMW NA) then the base price of the car will rise regardless of EU requirements. No such thing as a free meal.

I changed to manual and deleted the sunroof. I have no experience of the DCT or a M-manual. But I have always driven a manual and I know I will miss it if I got for the DCT. Also its not my daily so...but even if..I would mabye opted manual. It all comes down to personal preference as metrick said

Your M235i will depreciate more than the M2, so you may end up not saving any bucks if you decied to wait for the LCI.

Also, sarcastrix mentioned, nothing is free and given that its already very cheap and demand strong I cant see them giving things free... :/ (they already increased the price with 500sek )

Annnnd last but not least dont believe the dealers estimation of delivery. In the email sent a few weeks back they said "Status just nu innebär således att "nästa sålda bil" kommer tidigast kunna levereras en bit in i 2017". Note "en bit in" and that was a few week ago...soo what im trying to say is, if you want a M2, dont hesitate. Order asap.

Do'h!!!

I can't even choose the basic navigation there is only "Navigation Professional" for 19 900:- So that's the choice. If i want the full LCD then i am going to have to get the navigation. Have to think about this one.

Well yes obviously the M235 will depreciate but that depends on how much you drive as we speak i have only driven 2000 mil so far with the car and haven't been driving it during the winter cause i have accesses to another car so atm its standing a bit uplifted in a warm garage until somewhere around middle of march when spring hits.

Yes i want to order the M2 but would be nice to discuss the price with some of the Swedish people here to see how my price compare to the rest and see if i am getting a so called "good deal" or not and yes buying a car is always a bad deal but that's not the main issue here

Yes that's true but lets put it this way if it were added as basic part of the car but the price of the car would go up with 5000:- then its still better value then paying 19 000:- for one extra equipment part. Unless you are not interested in those stuff to begin with for example then it just sucks then the cars price goes up for something that you didn't want to begin with so i guess there is two ways of seeing this.

You can get up to 8% as a private person and around 12% as a Company, depends on your sales rep?

I think this is pretty accurate.

However if you, as a private person have some kind of frame agreement you could negotiate more than 8%,
However I think that now, when the hype is real, it might be harder to get high discounts.

That!

Now dealers actually know what the M2 is and demand far outstripping supplying for the foreseeable future those good discount days maybe over.

I was down at my dealer today asking about the M Performance parts.
The idea was to make it as convenient as possible for me and order the M Performance suspension from the dealer and have them install it before delivery. I was prepared to pay a bit extra for this but when I heard the Swedish prices I almost started laughing.

I have a price for the parts from Germany at 17 700 SEK, if I want it installed (in Germany) the price is 20 500 SEK. In Sweden just the parts cost 30 000 SEK and the install is an additional 10 000 SEK (5h x 2000kr/h).

So 100% more, are they nuts?!

A few dealers have installation in the price list, unfortunately the one I talked to about the prices above isn't really close to the border (http://www.bmw-matthes.de). They want €2199 installed which is about 20500 SEK or so with todays exchange rate. They have awesome prices on all M Performance parts, at least 10-40% of German MSRP on all parts.

But I will probably just get it from Germany and install it "myself". I have a friend that is a mechanic so not really an issue for me. I just have to let him drive it a bit more as thank you.

I can never get over Swedish service prices. An oil service on my Range Rover costs 8 000:- whereas in Holland or the UK it costs 3 000:- plus they give you a free loan car and valet your car before giving it back.

If dealers and BMW AB don't want to set fair prices then I say f&%k them, there's always someone else willing to take your money

Yes, as I said above I was prepared to pay a slight premium (25k SEK or so) just for convenience and to "help" the local dealer. But 100% more is just ridiculous and not really something you even have to think twice about.

Yes, all allocations for 2016 were already sold out in November 2015.
