Just wondering if the M2 CS uses a star spec Michelin cup 2 Tire or just a regular cup 2 Tire?

Definitely the star spec! They also use an updated tread pattern of the regular cup2 known as DT (Different Tread).

Thanks but I don’t see a star spec listed on Tire Rack, just the 265 for the M4 GTS…

I'm not from the U.S / Canada but I just did a quick search on the tire rack website and found it, it is this one with the 240TW rating

They don’t make the star spec in 275 which sucks. Want to up the size from the stock tire size.

You could run a 265/285 combo.

285 won't be star spec though will it? I'm getting a set of rear DT1 installed at the dealer next week. They're 500 a piece but I got nails in my rear noticed them while washing the summer wheels before putting them on a couple days ago. Got warranty coverage to just replace any tires with damage instead of them trying to repair it.

Noticed today that my front tires looked funny. Upon closer inspection they were not the star spec 245. Went back to Costco and they ordering the correct ones. The non star spec don't overhang the rim like the star spec version. Unsure how much the tires differ beyond that, but the guy that ordered said they were original equipment so I don't feel bad about getting the correct ones. Wish I had noticed before they installed them, but I didn't look at them.

Are these the ones you recently cooked? If so, that’s quite interesting.

Slightly off topic but I always have a good look whenever I pick up a car after getting new tyres. You would hardly believe it but one time they changed the wrong ones… 2 x good tyres ditched, and left 2 x toasted tyres (rears…) on. would have been downright dangerous if I had just jumped in and driven away.
