Any guess as to whether most US cars are being spec'd out by dealers or are customers getting allocations and doing the order sheet? Dealers are gonna default to DCT and regular brakes. 6MT and CCBs is the best way to IMO.

In Australia it was the latter. Customer order only. I have a good relationship and got the allocation. Yay me. DCT and red brakes. If the ceramics had red callipers I'd get them. Just hate the gold as my car will be silver. Black, red and silver is nice. Any hint of gold and silver is too Liberace for me.

There isn't many options to choose from for the Aussie M2CS to my knowledge. - Carbon Ceramics - Colour - Sun Glazing - Alarm - Wheel/Tyre choice If you are in Sydney, maybe we can go to a shop to weigh the cars on a scale in comparison to my M2C that's coming.

Hello all. I received mine today. Theoretically speaking the car was supposed to be delivered in April according to internal BMW system information however it did not arrive to the port until May and was then held back a few weeks by BMW Mexico in order to release it as a 2021 model.
I actually placed a reservation on this car in 2018 back when BMW didn't have a clue on what the last version would be called. I did know that there would be a special version at the end of the run as an internal BMW source assured me. Anyway, the day finally came. Enjoy the pics! Take care! PS: I have a few videos however am not sure wether I can upload them or not. |

Congrats ones again! I am convinced the BSM is the best color to choose.
Wheels are a different choice. As said I chose the gloss black ones with the red calipers. 95% For daily use, track ones or two times a year, Last edited by Pol; 06-26-2020 at 05:41 AM.. |

Thanks for posting the pics, it looks amazing. Upload the videos to YouTube if you get a chance. More photos of the car, including better angles of the bonnet, interior etc would be appreciated. Have fun!

I promise I will. I received it just yesterday and have not had a chance to take it for a spin. Luckily I did check tire pressures and was most surprised to find them 10psi over what they should have been. I wonder if somebody overlooked this issue at the dealer. I have set them at 38psi even and the car is ready for its debut. I will adjust pressures as I go on. I ordered the car with the normal street tires rather than the Cup 2's. I was hoping to receive it with the Michelins Pilot Sport 4S however it came equipped with the Michelin Super Sport.
I won't be able to compare it to the M2C as I have never driven one however I did own the first version of the M2. I also drive a beefed up 1M regularly on the weekends (KW coilovers, Brembo BBK, racing chip, NO catalytic converters, etc...) as well as an M4GTS so in some sort of way I will be able to eventually give some feedback on how the CS behaves compared to those cars. I do have to break the car in before I floor it as my dealer warned me that if I go over 4,500 RPM before 2,000 km my warranty could get voided. I'll let you know after the weekend and as time goes by. Take care guys. |
