M2 CS deal

I got one of the largest dealer around to give me the first allocation of the M2 CS they are getting and give me 1% off MSRP of my build.

Should I take the deal?? Or should I ask for more? I know I am pushing my luck.

You go low, they go high. Ask for 5% off and end up agreeing to $1000 off.

Uuuhhhh, I think you're doing just fine. I'm happy with MSRP without test drive.

Your dealer has absolutely no way of guaranteeing he will even get allocation of the CS so promising you one is way out of order. I’ve been told there may be a vetting process to see who will be allowed to have one as they are keen to avoid speculators. My dealer is hopeful of allocation as they are one of the biggest M dealers in the UK, but he’s far from certain and has been totally honest about that. I’ve paid my deposit and now need to sit and wait. Don’t let yourself get talked into lodging a deposit against a “hope” labelled a “promise”.

Hasn’t it been established they are most likely the same thing? Although with speculation rife this seems to change on a daily basis!

I highly doubt the CSL is coming out anytime soon. All the spy shots of the M2 are the CS/Competition M2.

Many dealers told me that had allocations of the CS/Comp Pack M2. One told me he had 1 allocation and it was spoken for and another said they had 2 allocations and they were already spoken for. Why would the dealers say we don?t want ur business if they didn?t know how many they are going to get they would have said we will add u to the list and if they got more they have another buyer lined up

A dealership with my deposit also did the same thing. They were basically going to let people above a certain number in the wait list know that they might not get an allocation and hence give them a chance to take back their money.

I would assume they would not do this unless they were fairly confident about something.

Every dealer is going to take any money you're willing to give them. Whether they have the allocation/car or not. A piece of you stays with them.

You coming/calling/begging/embarrassed/(whatever) for your deposit back is another chance for them to hook you. Even if they ultimately give you your money back.

Allocations for the CS are not out. Period. Any dealer claiming to the contrary is lying.

They can speculate based on past experiences what they may get, but at this point it's anybody's guess.
