My employer (local hospital) negotiated a discount at the dealer for all its employees. I believe it's $1000. When I leased my X5, I didn't even know about it. I negotiated a discounted price and it wasn't until I sat down to sign the paperwork that the finance guy saw my employer on the credit application and said "hey that gets you another thousand dollars off, congratulations.".

Hmmm... that is odd. I just got an email back from my CA telling me that the BMW M Driver's package is not included with the M2 CS. I'm going to have him check further.

Build Order Going in Tomorrow!
Going to the dealer tomorrow morning to enter my build order (and give 'em a new deposit - they never deposited my original $5K check .. in December of 2019 ). Said they were assigned 2 cars - I've got the #1 slot at this dealer in the DMV.
Misano Blue, 6-speed, black wheels, mixed tires, .. keep going back and forth on CCB or iron brakes. Any last minute advice? I think the blue-black-gold looks really good together .. a bit more refined than with the big bad red brakes. A bit concerned about CCB noise when cold/wet. Psyched!! |

If you plan to mod the car further to reduce weight and/or you believe clean wheels is worth 8k, the get CCB. I have read that the gold wheels don't look good dirty. The wet delay is real, but you'll likely adapt. Proper bed in seems to eliminate the squeal associated with CCB. Last edited by medphysdave; 09-16-2020 at 02:34 PM.. |

Dealer has that info. You can also called the BMW North America one 800 number and get through the prompts and ask for production status, actually it's called vehicle production status, and asked to talk with a representative and ask them what week you are production number is scheduled for.

Oooh.. interesting. I didn't even realize the Misano Blue paint was a charge color. Oh well. If I had known that before, I still wouldn't have changed my decision.

Thanks! Yes - DC area. Live in NoVA but buying at BMW of Rockville (Maryland) because last Fall they were the **only** dealership in the greater DC area not to yet have a waiting list. Part of it (according to the sales guy) is their generally older clientele not looking for this sort of BMW, but I'd say also the $5K deposit was a contributor. Been very pleased with the dealership thus far. They committed to MSRP for any resident of the DC area.

For what it's worth I'll have about 1500 in discounts at the end. 1000 for the Summer Drive On event, and then the 500 BMW CCA rebate later. Those aren't dependent on the dealer though.

It's been 6 years... they have instructions on the club website. You basically mail in some paperwork and they send you the rebate a few months later. Pretty straightforward from what I remember.

Sweet. That and selling my 02 540i6 (with 4 like-new snow tires/wheels) in the Spring will take the edge off the CS purchase price. Will hate to see the last E39 in the family go, but hoping having the CS as my new daily driver will alleviate the remorse
