Great work bro! Now we just have to a.) find the spec's on Joe's, and b.) somehow get a hold of a set!

Actually, looking at this again, are you sure your tires aren't just the standard PSC2? That would make sense, as the new Connect could be very different.

So the car comes with these "connected" tires, but the connect kit isn't included? Does this mean we then have to but the kit and pay to have the tires unmounted and remounted to install the sensors? If yes, then I'd at least try to buy the kit ahead of time and have them throw in the mounting of the sensors on arrival.

Edit: Apologize for the slightly off topic post. I misread some of the previous posts. However, I'm still curious about the inclusion of the sensor kit with the car?

OK, I have the answer, sort of. I contacted Joe, and he actually answered my email super quickly.

The tires on his car aren't available to the public at this point, they are indeed wider, and carry the old logo design.

I imagine your tires, along with all the others, are nearly the exact spec (as far as width and such) as the old ones, but with the new sidewall design, and possibly new compound.

I made it clear that I was quite interested in the tires he was running. He said he will be meeting with some Michelin big-wigs on Tuesday and he will get back to me on it.

He also sent me a couple more shots of his tires.

Congrats! Very awesome car(s)! Any plans to track the CS?

A group of us that live in The Hague are coming up your way for a TD at Assen on 27 August. You should come over and let us drool on your baby

Not what I expected at all. The current Cup 2 is almost the same spec, as far as width/od as the PSS, and the new one looks damn near identical in those regards as well. What sense does it make that they have a big-running Cup 2? Why not call it a Cup2R or Cup3? The tire looks so very different. I'm interested to see what the brass says about it.

I do have my own company

And most importantly of all;

No wife, no girlfriend, no kids, no debts; that saves a lot of money

It is fairly hot at the moment in the Netherlands >30 degrees Celsius

The OGM2 N55 IMHO had a lot of less power during hot weather, it felt always less awake, a little lazy. On normal / cold weather it does feel more powerful

As compared now to the S55, that engine really kicks ass, so live, so responsive, you can feel instantly it means business. Heat does not matter as far as I can feel now.

On the other hand the N55 sounded more fearful, darker sound, but maybe, when more kms driven the S55 sound becomes better.

Have to see how its progressing.

The car is really fast, with an unmatched ease to it compared to the OGM2

When RTFM it says the doors can be opened without using the key buttons.

Like Comfort Acces.

I tried and it soes not work, so am I doing something wrong here?

Tips and tricks anybody?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe has to be activated in console menu? Or it's a holdover miscommunication from the C?

On past cars I've owned the access was configurable.

Does the door handles have the little ridges / bumps on? I'm sure you know but that's a good physical indicator the car at least has comfort access? (It's t pressed to lock and your hand goes into the handle to unlock)

Also after about mid 2019 I'm certain the key deactivates if not moved (a great feature help prevent theft) so just checking you're not trying it after the key is close but maybe stationary for some time.

Only final thought is as above, check set up in iDrive which is #1 likely.

It has NOT the little ridges like my OGM2 had.

So maybe it hasn`t Comfort Acces at all?

Romo, consider the absence of comfort access a fringe anti-theft benefit (see for example here and here).

Yes, I've heard of it.

CA is an easy way of losing your car.
