I am surprised they didn't go with something that had more "pop" - if I end up getting a CS, it will be AW or HS, which both will look good with the CF accents and red calipers/stitching.

Not a fan, saw it on a Z4 a few weeks ago.
I have had Atlanta Blue, Estoril Blue, and Long Beach Blue on BMW's. Long Live Estoril Blue! My favorite Blue! 2000 BMW M Roadster.

I've ordered a M2 CS, and until going through this thread was almost decided on blue. But now its back to the drawing board.
Blue, black or silver all back on the cards again for me. |

My wife and daughter both like the blue with gold wheels. Even the red calipers. I'm trying to explain how fill this color looks in most real life scenerios

Misano Blue Metallic reminds me of a 1M of one of my mountain buddies. He had wrapped his BSM 1M in Avery Intense Blue Gloss (see here). No metallic color though.
Here's a picture at the foot of Stelvio Pass (2013) ...featuring Smurfette of my daughter. Wherever we went, his car always turned heads (with especially children pointing at it).

I'm curious if anyone can dig up the available color choices for iconic BMW special editions? We're they offered in more than one color combo? Which choices were most popular?

I can't believe that I'm coming around to Misano Blue. The more I look at it the more I like it while watching YouTube videos. I think a major draw is that it is not a color that could be had on previous m2 models.

It somehow looks better to me now than it did before. It's still no San Marino Blue, but it seems to fit this M2cs well. |

Trivia: Misano Blue Metallic was no 'first choice' color - it was a 'leftover choice' color:
