There will always be something better coming out, a never ending cycle. The price point of the base M2 still makes it more of a bargain IMO.
It's a great bargain for what you're getting-- no question.

The GT4 is by no means a sure thing, but the dealership where I bought my GTS promised me I would be allocated a slot for the GT4 once they get word on its production.

If they limit production like they did back in 2016 for the first gen GT4, I think it will be well worth it to get one. We shall see.
In the meantime, I plan on enjoying the M2 to the fullest.

I'm asking out of genuine curiosity to gauge what people here think is worth it for this car.
I acknowledge it's hard to answer that question definitively until the car comes out and is tested on a track/roads.
I'm based in Sweden and really can't refer to $ prices.
When I placed my order, price was based at 511k/SEK. Since then it was raised to 544k/SEK.
As this is more of a sports-daily for me I pretty much had every option ticked other than the automatic gearbox, bringing the price up a further ~100k.

Now, if I can get a manual CS with an S55 for base+100k(ish), while letting go of all the luxuries I initially added on- that would be an exchange I would be willing to make.

Won't consider the CS or GTS unless they make a manual version.

Same here!!!!! Won't even be tempted if it isnt offered in manual... actually it would make the decision so much easier!
I would prefer Mineral Grey as well... but can't win 'em all.
