It's a smart battery so just plug and play in the Aston. Probably best to email them the M2. They have an Australian office.

UK site lists the M2

https://www.deadweightindustries.co....ucts/touge-max

Battery +3D Printed baseplate + shipping will cost about $900US

Unsure if that is with VAT. Could be a little cheaper since US wouldn't pay the VAT tax. (I think)

$2200 per seat IIRC. The seating position alone is a big upgrade, not to mention the other benefits. The Schirmer brackets ARE NOT PLUG AND PLAY. You need to drill a few holes here and there and minipulate them to get the sliders to work.

Glad to see someone else is doing the same thing to their CS. This is exactly what was done to E30 M3's and LTW's back in the day.

Heck, a lot of people even turned their LTW's into race cars. Doubt anyone would do that to a CS these days, how times have changed.

I went with the Competition Motorsports bar. It's nice but I like the Schirmer design way better but didn't want to import one. I probably should have waited but I digress.

Lifeline harnesses are so good.

More pics to come.
Thank you for the feedback. I will make sure to update as there is progress in the car. Glad to see I am not the only either.

I got the car mostly for track use, but want to make sure if I want to, I can still drive it around occasionally or to the track. AP Racing brake kit going on it as well.

Look forward to your pictures. Did you go with the Falline Rollcage? It is what I have as it was the only one I identified with a proper closed out for the rear seats, just hoping I can do an still and avoid destroying the rear carpets.

Did you consider the BK Mounts for the seats? I read from someone on the forum, those would allow you to maintain the original OEM sliders (so no extra drilling). Lastly did you needed to code the car once you remove the seats?

Once again thank you..

I went with the Competition Motorsports Roll bar and rear seat delete kit. Very happy with the quality / customer service and priceline.

I like the fact my factory side bolsters stayed in.

Sidenote: (I have a LTW modified by PTG from new and they built a rear seat delete kit and kept the side bolsters in. The rear seat delete was added to the LTW so you could drive the car to the track with 4 wheels inside As far as the overall build of the LTW by PTG racing back in 1995, it's on a whole nother level. In todays money I would have had to have spent about $150,000 in mods to match the LTW. Anyhow, that car is a whole nother story for another time)

I considered the Bray sliders and actually had them on order but cancelled them. Most everyone has those and frankly I wanted something different..and I think mine sit lower than those also. Just guessing but I do know I'm very pleased with my new seating position.

Yes we coded the car for the airbag light and chime for when we use the 6 point harnesses.

I kept my 3 points in for street use as well.

This is amazing. Definitely want!

I think upgrading a CS to a CSR Light is the way to go. You get the cooler hood, and aren't stuck with the air lift trunk. You also get carbon instead of plastic diffusers, which cost nearly the same anyway to replace.

I want to get the CSR door panels, wing, the M Perf carbon trunk, carbon fenders and a cage / rear seat delete. Maybe the oil cooler protector and lexan window with the differential cooler.

Diff cooler would be so cool in the street car. Although a bit overkill for 30 min sessions

And you get 110 hp more

I've got about the same into the M2 CS now as I did the M2 CSR. Only issue is resale value. I sold the CSR for $150k in 7 days. Won't be getting that for my modded M2 CS.

Aside from having to trailer and making life more difficult to run a racing car on track days, unless you are racing on the series. What let you to sale the M2 CSR and go this route?

Question on the door panels. Did you miss the arm rest?

I will always trailer my track car to the track, no matter what the car. I have too many things to bring along with me in order to hope to go fast

When I bought the M2 CS I didn't know how I wanted to use it but I knew I loved it.

I bought the CSR and had a great 2021 season with it.

At the end of the season I knew I wanted to HPDE a street car and not HPDE a race car. So overkill for my needs and I had already decided I don't have the time to go racing.

The M2 CS has great bones, I just needed to change a few things to make it track worthy for my standards.

So now I have a car my son and I can take on local trips to the golf course or wherever AND I have car I can track...hopefully within seconds of the race car at VIR.

It's a win win for me.

When I'm done with fun, I revert the car back to stock, sell off the parts and send the car on it's way. But honestly I can see this track car taking me into 2030 and beyond.

Heck the 1988 E30 M3 I tracked up until 2 years ago. M2 CS will be fun and capable on the track for many years to come.

Sorry for the long response, hope it answered your question.

I have been tracking my 1M for years. I am still trying to decide if the CS will move into that role eventually.

What did you do about the airbag light? Is there a resistor or did you have to code it?

Yes coded it out.

We kept the seatbelt light when using the harnesses though.

Didn't try that one. Anybody successfully fit that model?

I tried this one and it interfered with the splitter.
