It was very straight forward. Disconnect the battery anytime you mess with an airbag. Watch some YouTube videos and you’ll be fine. Took me about an hour to swap my stuff. Most of the time was spent messing with moving over the buttons and other finishing pieces to the new wheel.

It's straightforward. You would not get a heated steering unless you additionally bought the heating coil, button to activate it, new bottom steering column cover to accommodate the button and possibly coding as well (last part I'm not 100% on)

Trust me, I'm the oddball here. I hate alcantara steering wheels. Also just like most have commented on, the wheel is ridiculously thick. I had one in my SS1LE as well and I did not like that one either, however that one was actually on the thin side. The OEM Comp wheel is perfect to me.

You would probably like the wheel from the E9x M3. That thing feels so skinny to me compared to the CS. I'm going to upgrade to the alcantara flat bottom but it's not really different in terms of thickness to the best of my knowledge
