Of course pricing will be different in all countries and discount levels will be different.

Only part that is weird is the exhaust, $10k?
The Mperf exhaust must be a full system for that price. ETK now shows the opf filters in the midpipe, not muffler like Lellmann said. Only makes sense, there are two part numbers for US and Europe.

Currently the M Performance exhaust with CF tips for M3/M4 costs around $6400 (MSRP, before any discounts). I do not believe that the MPE for M2C will cost more than that. I'll wait till the official US pricing is out before jumping to any conclusions.

The same German site has the M4 titanium exhaust with carbon tips listed for $5080 Euros. Only two explanations, the price for the M2 Comp exhaust is completely wrong or we have wrong information about what the final version of the exhaust actually is. Possibly include mid pipe with valves and Euro version also includes expensive opf filters.

+1 Sounds more logical. I don't know much in the BMW tier that will pay 10 grand for an exhaust.. Half that price, for sure..

Only a fool would pay $10k for an exhaust.

It is, after all, just a couple of pipes with a few valves.

No freaking clue, they told me the OPF filter... I honestly would not know what the difference is. I will ask at the press drive.

Akrapovic's full Evolution titanium exhaust with their trademark carbon foreskin tips for the outgoing M2 is $6k from Turner. Just sayin'.

If the MPE is not cheaper than the Akra then M will just be doing Akra a favour by sending business their way.

Yeah so Akra it will be should they stick a ridiculous price tag on that thing...

It’s all good. You tried to troll in a backhanded way and was wrong. No worries.

To be honest the aftermarket makes better sounding exhaust anyways.

Akra is developing a new exhaust for the M2C. It will not be available immediately.

Until they decide that a 3600 lb M4 and M2 really don't make much sense and just axe the 2 series RWD completely..

Sorry but no thanks on the FWD/AWD 2er gran coupe as well. I would prefer a RWD 2er gran coupe. Which is a darn shame because I love the 6er and the 4er GC.

There will be no MPE. As far as I know, BMW will not produce a Performance exhaust due to the OPF discussion. Akrapovic will not be able to make one that fits the regulations either, so that will be an issue for homologation, at least in Europe.

EDIT: CONFIRMED by BMW

No. Official start is July. All others are pre-production vehicles. There will be no MPE for the M2 Comp. BMW never intented to put the S55 into the M2. But because of the M4, BMW had to update the S55 with OPF to continue selling it. The N55 had to die because there was no way for BMW to update it (at least from a cost perspective).

Interesting, as this contradicts their M performance press release of only a few weeks ago when they said there would be multiple models of MPE, both with and without OPF.

Too expensive maybe? I don't know. Maybe there will be something for the US only?

I wonder how BMW USA's lawyers are ok with the company actively choosing to import a version (of M2C, or M Perf exhaust) with less pollution control to the US. I wouldn't be surprised to hear some far-left environmental extremists bring a class action law suit.
