Next time, get a cat; they require very little and they'll sit there and watch a whole season of High Maintenance with me, while the world burns..

When one of your cats stares at you, look back in silence and slowly blink both your eyes. The cat will normally respond by doing the same gesture. Very likely you know that that's cat language for saying: "I trust you and feel totally at ease here right now". Same if they first slowly blink at you: reply by doing the same and QRNTN life will be purr-fectly chill.

He he, I know exactly what you mean, a sort of half-wink.

Growing up, I was never a cat guy because my grandmother was foolishly superstitious and believe they brought bad luck.

But a few years ago, hanging out late in the summertime, a whole family of feline use to come visit me everyday, just to hang out and just fell into love with the species.

I then encountered cats that were lost, abandon, shoved aside because the owners didn't want them or it was pregnant but bringing that cat in, seeing them in my home, flourish, respond to love and affection is one of the best feelings in the world!

They actually know and remember the look and sound of my car, it's very impressive.

I like cats, but I don't trust them. They have underlying nefarious motives and would take your eyes out if it benefited them somehow.

Could be an idea for a dedicated "M2 and pets" thread.

Cats are cool creatures. I had several in the past. Can't have one anymore as I travel way too much.

Thanks for all the feline DIYs training videos, I've leaned some new tricks

I've almost had every single domestic creature as a pet imaginable but I'm just infatuated with these little wanders and would love a dedicated cars and pets section, especially to pass the time.

Cat claws are made of the same material as human nails, if you can't penetrate your car's paint with your nails, neither can the kitty.

And if you every look at any Wolverine movie, his sharp nails are detract when walking, only when he's angry or needs them, are they erected, so it's not liked they're walking around all the time with icepicks in their feet.

The boys Mushu and Enzo( Black and Tan). Girlfriend had Mushu before we got together and got Enzo last year (she picked the name). His ride home was in the M2. They both are surprisingly cool with spirited back road driving and just nap in her lap.

One rule that I learned while detailing cars: Never touch your car's paint with the hands never. The consequences will be micro injuries, swirls and scratches.

Everyday I pull into my driveway to garage, a bunch of feral cats jump on top of my car, while it's still moving.

Its like some urban Jungle Book and even after a few years, I've never notice any scratches onto the paint. The a lot of paw prints and cat hair but nothing permanent.

OEM clear-coat is tough, it protects the inner paint, that nails would not be able to harm and micro-scratches can be the result of anything but can be easily buffed out, with compound.. You really have to go in with something sharp to really penetrate the paint and etch it.

I wouldn't care if they did, I can't do much anyways but from personal experience, I can't blame cats for any paint damage but if someone has irrefutable proof of this, please share.
