Mine had rattles in the upper central dash and drivers side A-Pillar, went back into BMW, was fixed and is now perfect again.

They only appeared after the first 3k miles.

I had a rattle problem that was heard when going over bumps. It was caused by my brake light cover being loose from a tint install that wasn't put back on right. Glad it was a minor problem and easy fix.

My driver side seat creaks if you lean back on it. I can hear it when I go over bumps as well.

I had rear deck rattles coming from the car-seat latch point covers. Put a couple snips of felt tape inside, and latched them closed, worked perfect.

Now I have a buzz/rattle from the center dash, only when at highway speeds on concrete (ie: rough), it SOUNDS like it's coming from the center dash speaker, but if I tap on it, I can't reproduce it like I would expect.

Starting to aggravate me. Not sure what else to check there.

I had a persistent rattle/buzz over bumps and rough pavement that I could have sworn was coming from the dash, but it turns out it was coming from the front ceiling dome light unit. I pushed on it and the sound would disappear. Did this a few times and now the sound is gone for good

I just picked up the car 2 1/2 weeks ago, and it's been at the detailer's shop for the last couple days getting a tint and C.Quartz, and I miss it like crazy!!

I've been getting some 'tapping' noises when I go over any bumps. Sounds like it's coming from underneath the car...centre-rear area..but hard to pinpoint. Anything on the rear diff that could cause this from others experience?

I too had the covers on the rear seats causing the rear deck rattle. Dealer installed some felt tape when I took it in for break in service.

Same here. None. And I had an early production car.

Took mine to the dealer because the rear deck lid was rattling like crazy. Dealer took it out and reinstalled it with some kind of felt tape. Not a sound since.

I've had a similar problem. When going over certain rough road surfaces I have heard a light metallic sounding rattle coming from the rear of the car. It was in the dealers for over a week for investigation, which eventually resulted in the diff being replaced. However, I still hear the noise from time to time. I now wonder if it could be the rear deck?

Do you know what they did? I'm starting to hear an inconsistent rattle in the upper central dash area myself.

My rear parcel shelf was rattling like crazy, sounded metallic, but turned out to be the LATCH anchor covers. I put a couple of small squares of single-sided stick-on rubber foam under the front corners of each lid, which seems to have fixed it. YMMV.

Not 100% sure, I think they took some of the dash panels out and added various pieces of foam and felt! Nothing much more technical than that I'm afraid!

Interestingly I think my A pillar rattle may be there ever so slightly as I thought I heard it the other day, but I haven't spent enough time with the music off over broken surfaces trying to hear it to notice it again fully...

..where as before I could hear it all the time! So it's definitely much improved

Quite alright. I was just curious if they had written it up on your "invoice". If it starts to become consistent, I'm definitely taking it in.

Thanks!

My passenger door window whistles when it's closed AND OPEN. It gets louder when the window is open. It starts once you reach 60+ mph. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!!

Definitely have the rear-deck rattle - good to hear it's an easy fix. Also seem to have some light rattles coming from the passenger door panel. But i'll wait for that to be more pronounced before i take it in
