I had 2 rear deck rattles. One from the plastic covers and really difficult to find from this plastic wire harness attached to the body on the right side of the car behind this vertical side part of the backseat close to the c pillar.
Been trying to fix the second issue you mentioned since I bought the car. Any photos?

No but basically u reach on top of that vertical soft thing and there is something u can push to release It.https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ity/1VnXdK8HIJ
When u remove it and take some pictures i can point u to the part that rattles. It this plastic with a few wires somewhere up there. It has been a year since i did that. Sorry i dont have better instructions.

Did you figure it out? What was it if so..?

Hey fellas. I'm already out of the M2 and into an X3MC. I think that may have been more of a cold weather rattle as it did go away.

Got what I believe is one of the rattles that have been irritating me forever. It sounded like loose plastic rattling around when going over rough bumps. This is the bottom of the driver side A Pillar.

Wrapped the contact area with some felt tape laying around from BMW. Let's see if this fixes it. I think it will.

The sound was very pronounced when I was moving it around and tapping the wires against the metal.

The felt tape helped about 90%. Gonna go back in and add some more tape of some kind.

There is also a rattle in the driver side door that's bothering me, so expecting the same type of issue once I take off the door trim.

By no means a car known for its fit and finish; the BSRs are driving me nuts. Just 700 miles and I seem to find a new noise each time I drive it. Body creaking, seat noises, door rattles... came from an F30 that was built like a tank. This, Lincoln logs?

Weird... Driver window down and only when turning right (LHD), I hear a very annoying rattle coming from the (left) rear.
Sounds like some "heat insulation" with a little pebble stuck in-between the sheet or loose sheet (@ the wheel? Exhaust?).

What the hell is this... Dealer closed so where do I start looking?

Today I disassembled my center console and found the rear a/c assembly sounds similar to bacon frying with even the lightest touch or movement.

Greased her up with silicon slapped her back together and VOILA!! Still noisy lol..

Upon further inspection I found that during driving the passenger seat shifts from left to right about 1-2 mm causing the "creaky click" combo of sounds I deal with when the seat applies pressure to the center console lid.

So I reclined the seat and slid it all the way back and bam, just like that.. I can drive with the windows up in a noise free environment... for now.

At the end I of the day I know for certain that lubrication of the plastic on plastic clips made a dramatic difference.

Kind of annoying I can't just have my seats in normal positions but at least the interior is quiet now👍🏼

This didn't fix the issue. It seems worse now. BMW built this car with thin plastic pieces inside everywhere I guess.

I've been getting the odd " tin like " rattles since getting my car back from the dealers particularly around the left hand door and around the dash area.

PS: My vehicle is a RHD

Does anyone of you have experience with rattles that appear to be coming from the rear light dome? It’s pretty loud around 2.5K RPM with MPE and Fabspeed cat

Clean fix for rear deck latch covers

I just got a 2017 M2 and the only rattle I inherited is around the rear deck, which I'd notice during WOT above 3k rpm. With help from previous posts, I narrowed it down to the latch covers.
I tried a few different fixes, but using cabinet door foam bumpers ended up being a clean solution I can live with for the long term. I took one bumper, cut it in half, and then tried placing it in a few different spots. Pictured below is the optimal setup based on my testing. If you add more than one bumper, the latch won't stay shut. If you put it too far forward or back, the cover still vibrates.

For anyone that still has the high frequency wasp like noise when under say 2krpm Coming from the passenger seat think I have fixed it by putting two cable ties around the white ecu under the passenger seat. The rattle seemed to be coming from the ecu casing rattling with its insides so I just tied the cable ties around the whole unit to compress it ever so slightly and it seems to have fixed it

The passenger side rattle i found was the join between the plastic panel that covers the AC filter and the bottom left plastic kick panel near the carpet. If you feel at the top of that panel you will find that it taps against the AC filter panel. Hope that explains it ok, I put some packaging foam behind the kick panel and cured it.

330i weird warning signal after mobile phone charge

Dear all, my 2017 330i recently has some weird things happened to her ... when I charge my mobile phone I got warning saying the “front high beam light malfunction” and “SOS calls disabled”. When I parked the car and shut the power down, I heard thumping noise like heartbeat, the noise went away after a few minutes. The next morning when I started the car all is normal, but when I starting plug my mobile phone charge via USB port, the same warning signals come back in a few minutes. It is so weird and wonder why? I took the car to a local BMW repair shop, they could not find anything wrong with the electrical system. Does anyone here experience similar thing? Otherwise the car runs great . I only put 32K on it. Thanks a lot. George

This sounds like what I'm experiencing. Any luck fixing it?
