Winter Storage - Battery
I'm planning to store my M2 and use a not purchased yet beater for this winter.
I plan on doing the standard winterization process, covered garage, full fuel tank, fuel stabilizer, extra air in tires, carpet squares underneath tires, etc. The problem I have is that the garage I have available to me does not have electricity to plug my battery into a charger. What is the best way to solve for this? Do I unplug the batter and charge it inside the house, will this cause coding issues when I try to re-connect in the spring? |

I'm in the same situation. Does your garage have a light socket?

Unfortunately, no light socket, no electricity at all. But thanks for the suggestion.
Assuming cenz422 is correct, then there shouldn't be an issue, besides having to carry a heavy ass battery a few hundred feet to get it inside. :lol Has anyone disconnected their M2 battery for a period of time and reconnected with no issues? |

I disconnect the battery on my e46 m3 every winter and store it for 4 months. Note, the car is supercharged with a tune and I have no issues except for resetting my clock and car adapting to my heavy foot again.
