Just did mine yesterday, these are certainly inexpensive and easy to do, though I can't tell if they made much difference at all.

I just looked at my E86 and she has something similar fitted, and my E65 did as well.

Installed these last week and they've made a noticeable difference in road noise.
Definitely turned the volume down a notch and only took ~20 minutes for both sides.

I found these on eBay from a place in Slovenia, that shipped to Australia. Just search for the part numbers. Received last week, and will hopefully install this week.
