Turner Motor Sports corner brace

I was wonder if anyone has experience with these braces. Do they actually improve the driving experience?

My guess would be, based on the fact that we have metal corner braces from factory, the improvement here is largely aesthetic (and possible minor weight savings).

They're gorgeous but I wouldn't expect to notice them while driving.

Aesthetic mod, function similar to stock but look way better. Pair them with the Turner Carbon Intake and its perfect. Have a friend locally that did the combo.

With the Black Friday sale I decided to go ahead and purchase these braces. I guess we will see if it increases handling or is just a nice cosmetic upgrade,

They do not, my buddy had a Dinan intake and he sold and went with the combo of braces and Intake from Turner.

Dinan requires you to cut the OEM brace, you will definitely not want to cut a carbon brace.

I believe you can select open or closed. I run their S55 Carbon Intakes and both have Carbon covers

Smart... otherwise you get heat-soak

Are you happy with your setup?

Very much, sound improved and it looks great. Their setup doesn't break the bank either

Doubt it would heat soak as even the "open" design has the moulding to insulate the the intake from the engine bay. The closed design is more for bling, imo.

For reference, I'm running the open design and VRSF intercooler and haven't noticed any heat soaking on track (IATs stay nice and low). Around town seems okay as well.

No, I called Turner this week and they confirmed That it will not fit. So I am doing the M3/4 carbon brace.

I have the Dinan intake too and thought the carbon braces would be a great addition to the aesthetics of the engine bay but it just won't work.

At a stop light it will still create heat soak

For every 6 to 7% increase in engine temperature there is a 1 to 2% loss in horsepower

It might not seem like much but I'm a firm believer that keeping every pony is a worthwhile cause

Different usecases then I guess - never noticed anything since once the air starts moving, 0.5 seconds after opening the throttle the temps will stabilize. Also keep in mind the air will pass through the IC anyways, so the actual difference in temp will be minimal (unless the IC is heatsoaking as well, which is possible on the stock IC).
