M2C Rubber Front Lip... dreaming
I have been contemplating the idea of installing a carbon fiber front lip on my M2C... lips look great but are not practical at all with the quality of roads over here! Besides, I am not a huge fan of carbon fiber.
Last week, I came across the M2CS Racing ABS plastic front lip.. it looks great, especially how it blends really well with the OEM rear diffuser and side markers... but GBP 1,550 for a plastic piece is a stretch ![]() My wish has always been for a rubber front lip similar to the ones in the Porsche 991. I thought this can never be offered on a BMW.. until today! I came across this morning the M850i and found it equipped with a front rubber lip! Looks great! If only something similar to this is offered on the M2C ![]()

Would have been perfect if it was in a matte finish matching the rear diffuser

You could always install something like this on the bottom of your lip to protect it:

You could always paint it. I agree the CF part is expensive and was also considering this ABS Motorsports lip, but the finish does need some work. Maybe a clear coat would make it a bit closer to the rear stock diffuser. But if also this is cost prohibitive, the other one mentioned above seems more affordable and if destroyed you're not out $1K.

Personally think this is a perfect front lip as I was specifically looking for something not carbon fiber. The lip comes in extremely solid quality and I can foresee it holding up for quite some time. And I do like the look which differs from most of the carbon fiber front lips. Subtle but yet has its own character. I do believe that Lightweight nailed it on this product. |
