I was seriously considering the current replicas from IND and AutoID, but was holding out for something a little better. Looking at the OEM M mirrors I could see how that could be replicated better. I'm really glad I found that post by Aboen. Another advantage, like you mentioned, is they can be removed. It's involved but a lot less than if you bought the OEM M mirrors.

Also, for those of you ordering these (or anything else from autoID) use the discount code "HyperCarCollective" to get £10.00 off your order |

According to the site: "painted mirrors will take 7-10 days to be dispatched as they are made to order"
So idk if they start that process Oct 1 or if they will be ready to ship Oct 1 but either way I'll make a post/review about them once I have them. |

So like others i have been eyeing to upgrade my side mirror to the ones similar to the m2 competition. And yes i am aware of the side mirror cover alternative but knowing how ocd i am when it comes to my car i much get it right the first time. So just to clear things up, if i buy the entire sidemirror set and housing of the m2 competition, will it be a direct bolt in swap?

FYI. Those with moderate to severe OCD should consider the following:

mirror cap replacement
So I bought the autotecknic V2 M-Inspired mirror cap, trying to figure out a way to pop open my oem cap. Do I need to pop the mirror out or can I just pop the cap out with like a screw driver and pop the V2 in? I tried to youtube it seems you can do it either way?

Always remove mirror first. It is easy.
Then you can get to the clips and not destroy them.
