How To Fix Check Engine Light From Intake?
Hey guys, I'm relatively new here so not sure how this all works. Sorry if I mess something up. Basically, I got an M2 and it's completely stock, yesterday I installed a BMS air intake and initially had no issues, later on however, I got a check engine light. I went into BimmerLink to check what it was for and under "12 Motor Electronics" I see 1 error code, "FF20E1", I looked up the code and went to full lists of the BMW codes but I haven't found anything. What is the code for? Should I be worried? I want to make sure everything is fine. I've seen others get check engine lights with the BMS intake on a stock car but they haven't said what their codes where and they just resolved the issue with a JB4. I don't want to have to get a JB4 for this because down the line I'd like to use BM3. Is everything fine and the light will just be annoying but it doesn't mean anything bad?

Go back to the stock intake.

But from what I've seen it's common for intakes to trigger codes, some cars are more proned some are less proned. But the only intake where I don't see this occur is the CTS turbo intake due to its specially designed maf housing, so that's your second option.

Just updated my previous post.
You'll either need a flash tune from a tuner who knows how to do it like twisted tuning. And I don't recommend the second option which is jb4.

You just tell them you want a speed density tune for intake related issues. Then while making your map they'll incorporate that.

I'd launch that intake in the FS forums and put the stock one back in
It's a clean design and you won't have issues and I'd bet it makes more power over the BMS intake

Isn't that a closed box design?
