Comp or Supra?
So I had a 2020 Comp DCT two years ago as my only car. Now I have a 2017 OG 6MT as a second car. I’m considering upgrading back to a Comp or a new Supra 3.0 Premium.
Which one and why? |

I preferred the m2c over the Supra when I was shopping because the dct was better than the zf8, the back seats fit 2 adults pretty easily, the cabin felt way more spacious and airy, and it's more of a "sleeper" cuz it kinda blends in with every other bmw on the road for most people.
M2 is my primary car and my wife has a cx5 so I wanted a car that could act as a daily and for me the Supra wasn't that. |

Let us be honest here. The M2C isn’t much of an upgrade as a daily driver. It only makes sense if you do track days. Having owned both cars you already know that.
If you want something different and don’t mind not having back seats get the Supra. |

You're in a better position to tell us since you've owned two of the three.

I have experienced the head bashing getting in and out of the Supra, it is a thing. Also, you basically can't drive with the windows down, the wind buffeting is terrible. After my M2C, the Supra felt soft which might be good for some but I wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong the Supra is a nice car but for me I wouldn't choose it over a M2C. If they make a manual, that would make it more interesting. The Supra is also quite a bit more "boy racer" compared to the M2C.

I'd definitely put the Supra through it's paces on a test drive, or extended test drive if you can.
1. Like others mentioned the wind buffeting is a known issue. 2. More importantly, the stock suspension setup in the rear on previous iterations is said to be downright dangerous at higher speeds. The Apex guys at Nurburgring, and others, have reported issues out of the box. It may be fixed in the newer cars. |

I have never driven the supra, but did have an m240i which has the same engine and transmission. in your scenario, since you already have an amazing sports car in the GT3, I would go M2C. You already had one so you know a lot about what's it's like. but here' s my take on the pros over the supra: better visibility and easier to get into than the supra which makes it more easy to live with the S55 has more character than the b58 and sounds better INSIDE the car more practical with more space and 4 seats |

Auto or stick, M2 comp all day. For me it's not even close in any statistical or opinionated category. I'd ditch the OG & get the comp in the DCT

When I consider changing my cars I first need to understand what changing the car out will actually accomplish. What missing element is present in a different car.
I think it depends on the other cars available. If there is a GT3 available I wouldn't hop into a Supra at all. It doesn't bring something to do table not offered by the GT3. Without daily driving and a GT3 for the track then I don't see an M2C as a logical move to make from an OG M2 either. Unless the missing element is simply a newer vehicle. If that's the case and I'd already owned an OG M2 and M2C then I'd pick another car to try, something from another manufacturer. |

Can't go wrong with either financially. Both are hot and will sell easily if you feel you made a bad decision.
My recommendation is the Supra since you've already had a couple of M2s and this is your second car. It's a worse car IMO, but it's got an interesting look and HUD and adaptive cruise w/ stop-start and the rock-solid B58 (better exhaust note, no spinning hubs to worry about). G87 is going to be the ultimate winner, so plan on moving whichever you choose by then. |

M2 is gonna be more practical, have the option of a sunroof, MT, better looking, and BMW ownership experience.
Supra is different, still fun (haven't driven one), and generally feels like a BMW which to me is a plus. Can't go wrong with either. I'd imagine you're ready for something different now?

I drove the Supra before driving the M2 Comp. I'm 6'0 and I couldn't find a comfortable driving position. The car seemed to be made for folks shorter than me. I'd say the salesman was about 5'10". I asked him if he had driver it and how it fit him. He said it didn't fit him either. I don't want to burst any bubbles but the only car I remember being anywhere near as uncomfortable was the S2000 where I had a similar feeling of being Andre the Giant. I have no issues with the M2 or most any other car for that matter!
