Front to back axle tire diameter difference effecting ABS?

I'm looking to run a 275/30 & 295/35 Falken 660 for my street/auto x and wet track setup.

That's 25.6" F & 27.2" R which is a 6% rotational difference.

I've run previous BMW's and other sports cars with a 6-8% change with no ABS problems. I don't care a rats ass about DCT. it still sucks on every BMW ever made. Just if ABS will screw up my threshold/trail braking, etc...

If I can manage this setup, then I can run a square 285/30/18 BFG R1 package on my 10" Apex rims.

Anyone tracking a M2 running this much of a difference and if so any issues?

THX in advance,
HAZMAT

5% is the max some German manufactured ABS systems can compensate. And this is in terms of rotating speed, which is determined by circumference and transferred into angular rotation of the wheel.

THX Monster...

My street/auto X setup TY will be the 6% delta.

I might go with the 265/35/19's vs the 275/30/19's to get inside the 5% delta,

My track setup will only be 3% using the TOYO RR's...

I think you're still be ok with 6%, because the 5% is what ABS can learn and compensate. 6% means that 1% will remain uncompensated and show up as sensor error for controllers like ABS and TCS. But that should still be below the activation thresholds. Once in ABS it will lead to slightly more (or less) slip, but that would be difficult to notice I think.

Interesting, since I remember in my old time trial days that 6% was about the threshold that the ABS system could handle...
