MY'20 Black Line Tail Light Photos

If anyone has a MY'20 with the new black line tail lights I would appreciate some photos. Have yet to see good quality pics of these and I'm deciding if I want to snag a set. Thanks.

Had a hard time discerning what they actually changed but after a long look I can finally see the parts they've tinted:

How do they match the bumper reflectors? Do the reflectors look too red when paired with the tinted taillights?

I would imagine they still match just fine. Here's a quick photoshop:

Worst case scenario you can swap the OEM reflectors for the honeycomb/slotted/painted kind.

If safety is a concern just code your tail lights as DRL's. That's what I did.

Not comfortable doing other of your options. I like the rear reflectors because I park on a dark street and want cars to see my car parked there.

Bumper reflectors were definitely too bright of a red, which is why I changed mine out (as seen in the original picture, mine is the blue one above; referenced by andrewc89).

My previous 2017 mgm M2 matched in terms of red hue so I left the reflectors.

Definitely up to the individual though, some may like how it is.

I remember for the 135i, the BlackLine taillights were never approved for the US market, so I'm a little surprise BMW is finally offering them from the factory.

However, seeing the outline you made, there isn't really any obstruction of light output or discoloration of the red diffuser (plastic shell), which is clearly how they circumvented US DOT illumination regulations.

so i just received my set today from Latvia. Sticker on box reads the right part no.

LH: 63219491591
RH: 63219491592

But nothing on the actual lights themselves to indicate the part nos.

I just feel like they aren't smoked enough for 'black lines'. And this is comparing against my pre-lci tail lights.

But looking at a few posts on here and I can barely tell the difference between the LCI and LCI black lines. Is there anyway else to verify?

If this green portion is reflective orange they're non-backline. If it's dark they're blackline.

Left is backline, right isn't:

I got the blackline's for the 135. Since my 135 was a 2008 (non lci) it was a huge difference. The pics above, i can barely tell the difference.

Yeah, it doesn't seem worthwhile unless you are in the market for an LCI upgrade or want yellow euro indicators and are already considering a set.

And to be honest I prefer the non-backline LCI's personally and thus will not be upgrading (again). I think the neon orange/red lines give the rear end a really cool look.

They fit any f87. 2018+ is plug and play. 2016/17 requires a small modification.
