Car weight - DCT no sunroof

Well, you can start with a basic car. It means there will be no sunroof and manual transmission. For example, Recaro one-piece sears and deleting the rear seat are the closest way to lose weight. Removing the carpets would be a good option as well. You know, getting down to 3100lbs seems impossible for me without completely gutting the car. Anyway, I wish you all the best in your beginning. Frankly speaking, monitoring a car's weight is a very interesting process. I always browse this https://weightle.com/ site when I want to buy a new car. When I found out the weight of the Hummer H3 didn't increase since the model of 2005, I decided to start saving money for it immediately.

I love how everyone always poo poos on the sun roof because of weight up top but how many here really would feel that weight, maybe in highly competitive environment but as amateurs that hit the track here and there will matter nothing lets be honest.

What matters is having more space for the helmet, that is a big deal but the extra few pounds meh

I know a few who hate them for both weight, and height. Most of the time, I see a dislike for them as a maintenance item.

As they age, they love to leak.

Well, I have another thread about this, but since this post has been resurrected, here's where I am at with my 2018 M2, 6MT, slick top.

Akrapovic exhaust -10
Akra 300cell dp (+1 lbs)
Rear seat back delete -35
Recaro Sportster CS front seats -24
- VAC floor mounts for the seats
- Recaro sliders
Remove engine bay foam piece -4
- Replace engine cover with Turner carbon
AntiGravity 60Ah battery -40
ER intercooler & charge pipes +14
KW Clubsport coilovers +4
Bigger PSS tires on 437M +6

My car weighed 3370lbs with a full tank of gas.
