I got excited with my BM3 too and did the exact thing. The other upgrades were still on route. We have 100 octane here. Took it out for a few runs and blew my charge pipe. Crawled back to the house. Then the car was out of commission for the next 2 weeks while I waited for the CP to go around the world back to me. Mine were short runs to check what the BM3 was going to give the car. Kinda like previews I guess. Looking back it was rather stupid and could have been worst. I agree with the earlier suggestion. 😷

Sure, the Chevron 95 and 98 options may be suspect, but I damn sure wouldn’t be running the S293 map on just 93 (Sold by Shell or God himself) YMMV but I’d be turning it down and reviewing logging ASAP |

I’m actually in Alabama. The Chevron by my office has non-ethanol 95 ($4.30) and 98 ($8.39) for sale.
I only see the timing pulling 2-3 degrees when IATs reach 99+ fahrenheit but it still isn’t ideal. That was on a blend of 95/98. Curious if the Sunoco GTX 260 98 octane they sell at the road course is any better. Will have to log to find out next year when I’m back for an HPDE. |

A depressing day…put the winter shoes on. 245 square on 18s.
They're no KL11s, but I think they look ok for budget rims. Looking forward to May!

They do look good, and are quite functional. I'm going to use my Ferric 437 set for Winter (we don't get real Winter here), so they won't be as functional, but they don't need to be.
