I am not at this point either

But it's way to premature to have any clue as to how it will actually turn out

So wait until the real reveal and then decide

I just...can't get behind that overly simple and square design. It feels lazy and slapdash.

It will be a superb vehicle no doubt. It will be faster, quieter, better handling. But will it give you the feel and excitement you crave? Only you can answer that.

Honestly that's part of the appeal to me…in comparison to what I consider "over designed" recent releases from BMW, a more simple design takes me back to the E46 days where there were clean lines with everything well integrated.

Most of the new stuff just feels too busy, patchy, and like the design is trying too hard to stand out.

Just go back to the M4 GTS style hood and call it a day, will they?

Agree. It feels more E46.

The F87 M2C is one of the very best looking cars BMW has ever designed, and will easily stand the test of time.

I like it. I really hope the front ends up looking closer to that render rather than the leaked grill image.

Overall I like it. Still think it’ll look better with vertical slats vs horizontal, but should be easy enough for IND to fix.

Doesn't really look like a BMW without the typical angel eyes and those kidneys with horizontal bars can't exactly be called stylish either, and then I don't even want to mention the rear.

This new M2 is for me personally a big disappointment in terms of design, it looks like a Japanese or Korean fake BMW.

I will still enjoy my current M2 for the time being but this abomination will definitely not going to be my next choice in the future.

The bumper doesnt look right based on the spy shots:

Will probably look closer to those boxier/square-ish renders

neither do the G42 spy shots with the real deal. What's your point?

Never ceases to amaze me how many current F series owners are in to bash a render.

Keep those 'perfect' F87s forever.

Course you will

It's just a render but I think the current design is going to be really hard to improve on

Maybe the moderators can move this thread to the new 2 series forums where it truly belongs

Then I have no doubt you won't see as much negativity

Long live the lovely F87's…

It's gonna be bigger and heavier than the F87's. That's a big fail for me right there.

That's basically every new BMW ever made for the last 15 years. I'd think we'd be used to it by now.
