Camber settings
What's your recommended Camber settings for DD and Track? Have just installed suspension lowered 10mm with Camber Plates, and getting an alignment. Would like Camber for street and setting for track, marked on plates. Also if you could include rear camber, that would be helpful.

I run 2.5F and 2R. Good compromise.

When you any toe at all to "cambered" tire it will act like a force multiplier. Your already increasing wear on the front insides driving down the road leisurely. Now turn the wheel slightly off center from dead zero toe and it will eat your front tires. Lets say stock neg is 1.2 and you go to 2.5 that's doubling the tilt and adding maybe 20% more wear to the tires life. With toe added on top of that its like losing another 20-25% tire life.. I screwed around with different track and street setups back in the 90's and early 2000's. You also shouldn't worry about what happens to the toe when you move the plates to your track settings. Its temporary and unless your Time Trialing or a top Solo 2 driver it isn't worth the effort to adjust tie rods at the track. HTH, HAZMAT

Mine goes from:
-2.5 / 0 toe street setting to -3.4 / -0.16* toe maxed at track (-2.0 / +0.19* total toe rear) Vorshlag plates, swift M4 springs I ran my first session at 2.5 on chuckwalla then max the rest of the day and the extra degree really helps!! 👌👌 |

shop ,South Shore Autoworks, who do mainly Track-Set ups, and they said moving back will change your Toe settings. I've heard many say not to worry about it.

Then on a track day you push them in till you hit the marks for the track setting. When you do this your the will be different. When its time to head home you push the plates back to the street setting and the toe will again be zero...

Do any of you guys use a pyrometer to check the data on your camber settings at the track? Just wondering if there's data to confirm feel.

My son uses one to check his temps on his Evo 9. It's usually his wife's job as he pits in as it should be done as quick as possible to get most accurate readings. I don't use one, as my wife doesn't come to the track.
