Personally I don't think there is going to be a model above the M2 CS...and if they do make a M2 that is mostly track orientated...why would it be called M2 CSL and not M2 GTS like the M4 GTS? When you look at the details of the M3 CSL, I'm under the impression the M2 CS is going to be a modern interpretation of this car. Ok not the same weight loss like a CSL, but more track focused without being so stripped out like a GT(with roll cage and fixed bucket seats). In my opinion the CS name is now the modern interpretation of the CSL name (without the big weight loss). Personally I don't think we are going to see the CSL name back anytime soon...but would be awesome if they did

I believe it is misguided for BMW to swap GTS with CSL. I believe that the latter should maintain its intended function at the compromise of comfort. I.e. a carbon fiber insert for rear seats, but no cage that deletes the seats. |

My son turns 5 on Tuesday.
Hopefully Artemis and others have some good info to share with the birthday boy . The +7 hour time difference also helps the excitement . |

Come on Artemis...tell me it’s going to be a CSL...will we ever see an ‘L’ again...
Given that the M2 has similar residuals to an M4...can we expect the M2 CS to suffer similar fate to M4 CS Perhaps rhetorical questions here...but the chat is good nonetheless |

But, as the proverb goes, to see you rather need vision than eyes. Try to spot relevant dots and fathom the bigger picture. Tomorrow I got 'a date with an M2 CS'. An encounter with a very familiar face.

Back in 2017 I was invited to a BMW M event. Little did I know that there was a surprise: exclusive preview of the F90 M5. I did not follow 5-Series or F90 M5 development, so - unlike the M2 CS - had only very limited knowledge about the car. No pictures inside the 'discovery room', but no NDA. I respected that. Interesting if the model beyond the CS is the racecar |

Highly unlikely given the fact that the M2 CS is the only CS offered with 6MT, not to mention the fact that all dealerships reportedly have long waitlists, some of which were started years ago.

It is all based on the price. The M4 CS would sell quickly if it were priced right. Almost all the people on the wait lists will disappear if they announce it at $85k or something like that. Most buyers aren't stupid, they won't pay more for very little of substance.
