I have the Sapphire Black. You'll see every small scratch and swirl. Stay away from this color.

You'll see scratch and swirl on every black or dark color cars. Sapphire Black is not as bad as Jet Black

Sad to see you didn't like Hockenhelm Silver.

Why are you sticking with BMW colours? If I was paying for it, I'm going to have a custom colour, I would ask for a custom paint spec. Choose your colour, choose your own metallic flakes sizes etc, metallic flake colours etc...

Or is the dealership paying for the new colour, hence all the BMW colours being presented?

Keep the Hocknheim (sic) Silver, it is very good on an M2C, I have seen several at the local dealers. I have Sunset Orange Met which I also like a lot. Black cars are not fun to keep looking good.

It's your call, but I would go the silver, or the Sunset Orange. Just my 2c.

I have an M2C, I ordered it in 2018 ... I was the first to receive this car in my country, I tell you all this because I ordered it with the color silver Hocknhaim ... which I am have never seen in my life, my seller I've known for 10 years, recommended me this color, I thought why not, in the photos it was dark ... and the disappointment came with this foul color, I can not not to bear it ... a Taxi color ...
All this to tell you that I'm going to change color and it's been two days since I shot the forum to see the colors and I can not really decide, I need your help ...

My first idea was to make Full black with the color: Sapphire black metal, look on the forum, I discovered the Azurite Black ... after I discovered the Grgio Telesto and after the Carbon Black and Gray Singapore again
Now I'm completely lost, I do not know which color to choose ... the garage of the painting (I do not know how it is said in English? ) Told me to do Nero Daytona of Ferrari or Black Rolls after he told me advised Azurite black

I went to see my garage BMW to discuss with the seller, we spoke for 3 hours almost just colors and according to him we must leave on the Grigio Telesto because it is a special color and it would be a shame to make a simple color but he told me that the Azurite black was good too and finally Gray Singapore
I made you the best photos I could to share with you what I saw in the garage!
Colors :

Saphire Black (P1) (seen the color on a car)
Grigio Telesto (p1) (never seen)
Gray Singapor (P1) (seen the color on a car and finds it beautiful)
Nero Daytona (seen on a friend's car, it's a shiny black with gold inside)
Azurite Black (P1) (never seen but I saw the samples, it is not really black, it is a really very dark blue and with the sun, it is super beautiful and without the sun it is completely black with a very slight reflection of Blue)
P1 = preference 1
I'm not going to put the Carbon Black because I saw it on a car in the garage and it's nothing special ... a totally ugly color
That's my dilemma ... thank you in advance for your help and your opinion!

Thanks !!!

PS: sorry for misspellings, my english is not super good

I agree Carbon Black is not that good, it's like a worse version of Azurite Black or Tanzanite Blue. It's a very old paint, so no surprise.

If you are open to something slightly lighter, I highly recommend Lime Rock Gray or Donnington Gray. Those are the two best BMW gray colors by a large margin, in my opinion. I like LRG better than Grigio Telesto, it's like a bit lighter and more metallic version of it.

If you are set on black, I would actually recommend you consider Jet Black or another manufacturer's non-metallic pure black. Porsche Basalt Black is very nice as well, probably similar to the Daytona Nero. My Z4M was Black Sapphire Metallic. It's okay, but it never really looks as pure black as I wanted it.

1. I'd go with Grigio Telesto or, if you want to stick with an OE BMW Individual Color, BMW Grey Black.

2. It's your car and I respect the passion, but just wrap it. Much less expensive, provides some extra protection and preserves the resale value.

Yeah.. Just wrap it. Painting a new car seems like a terrible idea.

If you like one of the other BMW colors just sell this and get one, I bet you come out ahead financially and have factory paint.

Also, if you insist on painting it (BAD IDEA) at least go with some appealing color that will be unique. You're considering a bunch of off the shelf colors.

That's what I would advise as well. Repainting a new car IMO devalues it so better off taking a depreciation hit and getting a new car rather than spending $5k+ on a quality paint job for no reason other than you don't like the color of the factory paint. I just don't see any scenario where the OP comes ahead financially in the long run by repainting his new car a different color.

I don't know about pricing where OP is, but at a US body shop i'd expect to a correctly done color change to start at $10,000. Don't forget about all the extras places that need painted on a color change, which are also some of the hardest to prep correctly.

OP Do you have costs for repaint already?

Wow, that is a lot of money to change the color and possibly reduce the value of the car. Like others said, I'd just just wrap it. Set the money aside that you save and get a car in the color you really want when you're ready to upgrade from the M2C in a couple years. There will always be a newer and better car to buy later.

Grigio telesto. I have seen it in person twice and it's absolutely amazing. Wish it came on the M2C, it would've been a no-brainer for me

Just trade the car in for a black M2CS... Put your name on a wait list. Much better value that repainting to a non-foul colour.

Or get some big flames painted on the sides, and maybe an eagle on the hood. Should look pretty menacing. Heck yeah!

No disagreement from me. I figured I was on the low side at $5k but you guys in the USA pay less for everything than we do in Canada so a littler harder for me to gauge what a quality paint job can go for down there. Definitely would be $10k+ up here especially if you are going to do everything including the engine bay and all the other nooks and crannies.
