I have a 1M and a M2 Perf Ed. Should I get M2CS or GT4?

I've been planning on adding a M2CS to the "enthusiast" garage but I'm very taken by the 2016 GT4's.

I have a 1M and a M2 Perf Ed that I love. I've driven the GT4 and really like the car.

Will M2CS be around the same $90k price as GT4 is right now? Looking at the difference in price between M4 and M4CS, it likely will be which in that case I'd likely prefer a CPO GT4.

Am I missing something important in my thought process?

I think your estimate of the cost of M2CS is high. BMW had a lot of problems selling the M3/M4 CS because of over pricing. Dealers had to dramatically discount the car to sell it. I would guess that it will be $10K over the M2C.

And what did the M2C end up selling for?

I love my M2, but it's a no brainer, you have an M2 already! Go for the GT4 10000000.1%

your analysis is spot on given that you already have an m2
unless you are a turbo addict...gt4 will feel gutless down low

Obviously get the gt4. The new one is going to be a "last of" car though.

I think you should ask yourself what experience are you trying to get from each car? I've seen some of your past posts, you have quite the BMW garage already...seems as though you have an affinity to BMW so depending on how the CS ends up it could be a future collectible.

That being said, we're talking about a GT series car here. Porsche builds their cars as stand alone sports cars. And when they take that sports car and gives it the GT treatment, you have one special car. They're not modified luxury coupes like the ///M division. And while I absolutely love my M2, I too will be adding a GT car at some point.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with either decision here. Another option would be to modify your current M2 and get the gt4.

GT4 seems like the way go but if you were to stick with BMW I feel we are so close to the next M3/M4 that purchasing an M2C seems like a waste of time seeing you have an M2 already as the M2C is the same car with incremental improvements. I love my M2 but I can't ignore that the basic car is already dated so the M2CS which won't be released for some time yet making it more dated on arrival just seems like poor value (I suppose this will depend ultimately on pricing which has yet to be determined) to me when the next gen M3/M4 is around the corner and should outperform it but that's my opinion of course.

What's M2CS? Does OP means M2C or is there a planned arrival for a M2CS that I've never heard of?
What's the newest GT4 available to buy? Does it really costs 90K or am I missing something?

I would go for the 981 GT4 when the 718 GT4 comes out if the prices of the 981 go down (unless you need 2+2, then go for the M2CS).

Do a search. There has been plenty of talk about the upcoming M2CS.

I currently have a 2017 M4 that I lease(ending in Dec). The M2 Perf Ed is much more fun to drive.

To really mess with your minds.... my buddy(builds race cars for us) has a 2007 GT3 he wants me to "lease" from him for a while to see if I like the whole P-car thing.

It's been seen driving around a lot around the ring and current BMW plans for the car has been leaked by insiders so the plan currently is for the car to be released. If course things can change, but BMW is and has been testing the car where people can see it so pretty much seems like a done deal.
