Finally took the opportunity to play with the new anti-lag system on BM3.

It's not that dramatic really, so I don't see myself using it. I don't have a dragy, but my butt dyno doesn't feel a dramatic change on Stage 2 93 octane (it seems even less pronounced in other tunes).

Still a very cool feature to have, and maybe on a custom tune with a larger turbo or different fueling systems it would have a greater impact.

Added some 10mm to the rear and lifted up the front about .3 inches. Finally happy with my wheels/stance. Also gave the m2 it's first hands on bath.

Castrol SRF is baller. I've used it for 3 consecutive years in the M2 on tracks like Nurburgring, Hockenheim Ring and Spa Francorchamps. Without ever touching it. Works great.

When you mean without ever touching it, do you mean you didn't bleed the brakes? My friend who did the brake fluid change said I didn't have to bleed the brakes but some people online said those who use it still should bleed.

I flushed the brakes originally when I changed from crappy BMW fluid to Castrol, and then I did nothing else. I swapped the pads for track days, got new tires mounted, did 7 days over 2.5 years, the fluid was still good when I sold the car.

Then I decided to change the soundtrack, and got a car with a heart of a V8 champion.

Fixed one of my biggest complaints with the OG M2. The seats. Replaced the driver's side with a Cobra Nogaro with Macht Schnell Clubsport seat mount.

Gorgeous. If I did not have an M2, I'd have a camaro...absolutely LOVE the aesthetics. I'm not a Chevy fan, and vettes dont do much for me, but I think they nailed the Camaro. I can't help but get out of the way when I see one behind me, thinking that there is no way I want to mess with that thing.

I've been enjoying it so far. The motor is a torque monster down low, but also pulls hard up top. Sounds great! Gears are really tall, top of 4th is 137mph. I have shift lights on the HUD which are awesome. Two green diamonds on left and right, than 2 yellow, then 1 red in the middle, then all turn flashing red when you're near redline.

Phenomenal grip out of the 285/305 Supercar 3s. Ride is tight but not jarring or bouncy. No-lift-shift is a blast. Snap crackle pop out the back and you launch hard out of the next gear.

Interestingly there are 18 different modes you can be in between throttle, exhaust, steering, adaptive dampers and eLSD. Performance traction management has 4 modes, and there are 2 sets of competitive modes. It's like you need a match maker to figure out which is right for you when. But everything is individually adjustable, and you can lock certain modes and use the mode button to control only steering, exhaust, eLSD or dampers. Or any combination of them. Cool tech.

And the visibility is low, as expected, but I got used to it quickly.

Interior is not bad at all, but no M2 by any stretch.

And the thing I missed most about American cars: cheap parts and HUGE yet affordable aftermarket support. I got a full set of racing pads, including for giant 6 piston fronts, and Castrol SRF fluid, all for under $500.

I got the steering wheel from Carbon Cartel. Their a Miami based company that sells custom steering wheels like Aza if you heard of his stuff. Their wait time is about a month and the prices are decent too.

The airbag cover I got it from a local shop here in Queens, NY called The Stance Shop but Carbon Cartel also sells the airbag cover too if I'm not mistaken.

If you're interested, PM me. I can explain more and give you info to tell to Carbon Cartel and they'll take like $100 off your order.

Thanks for the info! I have the mperf v2 wheel already. I just thought the airbag cover would be a nice touch. Is it just the picture or is the alcantara that much darker than the factory bmw grey alcantara?
