FG 437m all day long - lighter and way nicer on the eyes than 788m std paperweights

Dude, great tire, and the Ferric's look awesome on your car!!!

2 questions.

1. You have the Perl lip, right? How do you find it holds up?
2. What tire size did you go with?

Thanks Echo,

Yes correct, it is a Perl Carbon front lip, boy this lip is as tough as it gets... I've gone offroading on track sometimes and smacked it going 100km p/h and it's still in one piece.

It has indeed cracked on both sides now but the amount of abuse it takes, it's strong. Very lightweight as well. I'm going to buy another one later in the year.

I went with 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 re71rs, very chunky tyre being a semi slick. No rubbing, neg 3 degree camber up front with a 12mm spacer. neg 2 degree rear camber with no spacer. Also lowered to bmw spec 595 front 600mm rear.

I want one of those Perl lips so bad I can taste it, but they're hard to get in the USA without using MyGermany, which I don't really want to do. Some have said the finish is fragile, which is why I asked. Good to know it stays in one piece though.

Your sidewalls are just money, so perfect, and the tire choice, LOVE the 71R, so I'm sure I'll love the RS (not available here yet either).

Car just looks fantastic.

Likewise for us in AU, MyGermany is the only option to get the lip. I think we both have similar taste in wheels as we both have FG 437 and re-finished grey/gunmetal 763s, my painted 763M's are almost ready but I will mount them after my trackday this week.

Hopefully get some photos up by the weekend

Oh.

I love it.

Is that a Prismatic powder coat color, or just something random?

Thank you! I 'm over the moon with them as well.

It is actually Ferric Grey II B55 with a Satin Finish.

Custom Forged 666M in Brushed Bronze

I couldn't find anything that I really liked off the shelf so I had to get these custom forged. The color is Brushed Bronze/Polished Bronze.

19X9.5 Front
19X10.5 Rear

Need to wear out the MPSS before I switch to PS4S. One more track day ought to do it.

Not really a weight savings over the stock 788M (which I'm using for "winters"). Then again, if I wanted weight savings, I would have chose a design with fewer spokes. It was all about the Brushed Bronze color.

Can't go any lower. I know I will break down and buy a front lip against all better judgement. I already wince at many parking lots as it is.

Thanks so much to all for this info! I have a newbie question: bang for the buck, what the best second set of wheels to get for winter tires? 2021 M2C in Sunset Orange. Not looking to spend a lot.
