One nice thing about the electronic steering wheel -- no oil pressure, but oil and coolant temp displayed on a single screen at the top of the steering wheel. I used oil for when "ready to go" and coolant for impending limp mode on N54.

When the in dash gauge says ok oil is about 61C, when the gauge hits exactly the middle then oil temps are 89C and shortly after it'll stabilize around 92-94C for city driving or 97C for high way speeds. At that point when the gauge reaches the middle it's ok to start pushing the car hard.
