Vorshlag Camber Plates w/ MPC?

Hey all,

Since I don't have access to a caliper currently - I'm wondering if anyone knows which version of the camber plates (19mm vs 22mm) I should purchase for use with the M Perf Coilovers for the M2? https://vorshlag-store.com/products/...13539286941758

Also, if anyone could recommend a good shop to do track alignments (as I want to set up street and track settings on the camber plates) in the Bay Area, that would be appreciated too!

Thanks!

Take a look at the thread below

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1732696

I recommend contacting Vorshlag to confirm and/or ask them to send you both the 19mm and 22mm top nuts so you don't run into any surprises during the install

Well, as the earlier thread did - eventually - establish, the MPS front strut uses the larger nut.

Getting the old one off will involve a smaller multi-sided socket though, while noting that the thread is the same size as the larger nut (which is 6-sided).

Ah perfect, thank you both. I'll see if they can send me both just in case.

Don't know why that thread didn't show up when I did a search!

I emailed Vorsglag to see what they said.

"We've seen two different versions of that suspension. There is a less common version with a 12mm threaded shaft and the more common one with a 14mm threaded shaft. You'll have to check the top of the shaft, or the size of the top nut to verify which you have. A hex nut that takes a 19mm socket is typically a 12mm shaft, and a hex nut that takes a 22mm socket is typically a 14mm shaft. There is also a 16-point nut for the 14mm shaft.

This link should have the options pre-selected, but you may need to change it based on your shaft size.

Thanks.

Just to clarify for everyone, this is for the M2C (whereas the one linked earlier is for the M2).

This is correct

But there are clearly different versions of the MPS - I would not suggest that everyone get the larger top mount nut

I just had them installed - not sure why Vorshlag says they only go to -2.5* degrees - or maybe its 2.5* degrees over stock (I honestly don't know what stock camber is):

Quote:
With this design you can easily adjust camber track side and the total adjustment is up to 2.5° of added negative camber over stock.
Mine were setup with -3* of camber in the front FYI

There is only one version of the F87 MPS, but there are two versions of the KW V3: 1 for the F87, 1 for the F22. The latter uses the smaller fitting. HTH...

Interesting - wonder why Vorshlag offers two varieties? Perhaps it's the exact same kit they use for the KW's and they just duplicated it?
