Akrapovic Mid Pipe and Muffler M2 CS Sound at start up

Startup and rev. Can't wait to drive it. The piece itself is a titanium piece of art.

Thank you to Tommy at Tier Car Care and Slicer.

I'm the doofus saying OMG that's so deep to, I got a neighbor mode etc.. I hate my voice.

Anyway, once the car is finished:

I'll take a full video of the upgrades, sounds etc..

I have the same exhaust on my CS with this controller. Well worth the money and 20 min install if you have a lift handy. Plus you can program the settings to the homelink buttons.

Using the home link is a great idea. The link didn't work for me.

OP:. Looking forward to some flyby video.

How do you program it? Would it also work with any aftermarket remote controlled valves?

You can select the 2 modes that the unit arrives preprogrammed with when you are purchasing it.

I have mine set to default on start up so it acts like factory and fully open when I press the door 2 button. I can default back to factory by pressing door 1.

It comes with 2 keychain remotes.

They work on the same frequency as a garage door opener.

You put the car in learning mode for the garage door opener and press the corresponding buttons on the remote and the mirror.

Very simple. Takes less than 5 min.

All said and done about 30 minutes for everything and it's way easier to work and install than the sound kit that came with the exhaust.

Can we still import the Akra midpipe? I know the vendors can't sell them anymore.

I did not have any luck when I tried to find one state side last year. I picked up a low mileage full C system from a Canadian member on here that was willing to ship.

I have the same thing. How did you program the garage with the two buttons? I'd love a step by step if you can put one together

Pretty sure this is the guide I used.

It's also in your owners manual.

https://www.bmwblog.com/2020/12/28/b...e-door-opener/

Same set up, instead of pressing the corresponding button on the garage door remote you press it on the valve controller remote.

For some reason when I did this (programmed the controller then garage door opener everything got wiped out and I just got stuck with the garage door opener)… let me follow the guide thanks!

Akrapovic really makes a great exhaust for the CS. I have also put on the slip-on a few weeks ago, mid-pipe is stock, due to OPF. Million times better than stock, looks great too.

A lot of people got the CS backbox lately, as the factory makes them in batches.

Can you get the midpipe? Most in USA can't get it anymore due to regulation changes. I got mine slightly used.

I love the Akra exhaust. Titanium sound is epic under load, not shouty in normal application, does away with the diesel like rasp, and looks good. Weight savings are a bonus.

Your experience is saying less rasp? That's interesting. I was looking for less rasp and titanium usually amplifies it on the s55 like the mpe did on my previous f82. That's why I went with AA signature. It should arrive in 2 days can't wait to have that installed. Currently on OEM cs exhaust and just using bimmerlink to keep the valves open. I'm pretty sure the original owner took the full exhaust off as it's been getting throatier (as much as stock can) over the last couple hundred miles I put on it and broke it in. But coming from mpe it's just not enough volume for me especially on downshifts and upshifts

Is anyone able to point to an image where the sound kit valve connectors pass through the trunk. The Akrapovic manual differs slightly. I've got a second computer in the space that the control box mounts, and I don't seem to have a passthrough for the connectors where the manual suggests. I finally gave up. It's driving me nuts.

Yeah, probably I can get one. Not interested though, as then I bump into other problems, because OPFs need to come off. Remap / OPF faker needed. Don't want that, I need the warranty haha
