hey guys, recently I just had my shop install my new spoiler and apparently the previous one was glued on the trunk… the glue is stuck on there pretty good and even stripped some of the clear coat off my old spoiler. due to this, fitment with 3M tape on my new spoiler was not as I wanted and would really appreciate any recommendations on what I can do. the 3M tape is exposed and can be seen in sunlight as shown in the picture some of the glue came off the sides but the middle area still has a good amount of glue left. I'm not exactly sure what type of glue it is but it's black and seems to be like super bondo or something. I was recommended an easer gun or getting body work done but not sure what is best.

Eraser wheels will only remove decals and double sided tape residue.
Sorry, you probably don't want to hear this, but if it's Betalink the paint will be damaged getting it off. I know guys that had to re-spray. |

There really isn't a way to remove betalink without fucking up the paint... My stupid dealer had to remove my spoiler for some reason and then reinstalled it using urethane (windshield adhesive)... Found out 2 years later and yelled at them until they repainted it lol

I understand your problem perfectly. As I recently encountered it myself. And I would advise you to go to some kind of a professional auto detailing in Calgary . And they will definitely help you to solve this problem. Because if you are going to remove some solvents. The paint might come off . Because it will not be very nice. I've already had this situation. And I had to send the car already for painting
