Newbie Exhaust Fitment Question- Help!
So I am attempting my first exhaust install! Never considered it as I do not have a lift, but I found a local shop that rents out lifts and all tools, so thought I might give it a shot.
Current setup is AA EL Resonated MP with AA Axleback. Looking to swap to the Remus Race. I did a test fitting at home, and all the Remus parts fit snug, but I can still rotate and adjust pretty easily. The Resonated AA pieces however, do not slide in too easily, as pictured. That is about the best I can get it in before using a mallet. This is the same on both left and right pipes. Am I just supposed to force the pieces in? Or should I be "expanding" the Remus Pipe a little prior to applying? I feel like the middle adapter that came with the Remus should've been a hair thinner, and all would fit perfect. Should I just leave this to the pros? TIA! Last edited by drp087; 06-03-2022 at 11:59 PM.. Reason: pic |

I prefer using a dead blow hammer, but from my experience it is normal for half of the setups out there.

Well i was thinking that until you posted that photo. Not sure there is enough material to expand that much.

Yea, if theres any expanding to be done, I feel like the reducer sleeve + Remus End should be expanded, but since the reducer sleeve fits perfect into the Remus end, feel like a thinner sleeve will be perfect. Any advice from exhaust experts?
