Just got my car 2 months ago and took it to Sebring already. I'm anticipating that the tires will not handle the power when I start tweaking the engine. The question is, what is the widest tire (increased contact patch!) you can install if everything else is stock? I have researched through this topic thread, but there are so many variables as people are changing suspension, camber plates, and rim offsets that it has left me with more questions than answers. Not looking for specific tire brands, just what are the largest sizes you can fit.

I am looking to keep +2 size front to back as well. I read in one of the threads that 295/30 keeps many of the same dimensions, but a 275/30 in front seems scary to fit with no rubbing. Is 265/35 and 285/35 the largest?

If you want to be 100% sure there's no rubbing up front and keep the +2 Stagger then go 255/275..

On a OEM suspension the 265/35's will rub under full compression until the liners are worn down a smidge.

If I wasn't ready to drop $ on a full C/O setup I'd go with the 255/275 setup and buy some camber plates for maximum mechanical grip on track days.

Having the right amount of camber in the front of any BMW transforms it even on a stock suspension...

I would wager that 2.8-2.9 up front would be perfect for the OEM springs and shocks.

The problem with tires on the M2C is the front-- the clearance when turning the wheel is very tight-- something like juuussst over .2" of clearance as the interior wheel shroud is slightly different than the M2 (OG & LCI).

A 255/35/19 will most likely fit, *depending* on the tire manufacturer-- but clearance is going to be measured in "sheets of paper" as that tire is actually about .2" taller than the stock 245/35/19 (MP4S as a reference).

One "approved" combination that appears to work well (with MP4S's) is 265/30/19 and 295/30/19-- it changes the stagger from 20 to 30, but is actually a bit smaller in diameter, allowing for the greater width. Members here have run these on stock wheels (with stock suspension) with no issues, but usually, people seem to be going up +.5 on the wheels with different offsets.

As a point of reference, Apex sells their EC-7 w/ that wheel/tire combination that works well on a stock suspension-- however, depending on what front springs (conical or helper), you may need to run a 3-5mm spacer in for clearance.

Additionally, the 265/295 combination will increase wheel/fender gap from an aesthetics point of view.

I'm in the same boat-- changing wheels, tires & suspension-- so I've been a bit "head explodey" about this as well.
