Not sure how long they've had them up but they seem to have 437m style wheels as well. I'm debating on whether to bite or not as they look good. Seems like a good alternative, barring quality, on a set of 437s?

Just wanted to point out that the 437m replica is only available in 20" at the moment. Not sure if that was your intent

RF-GT4 with +44 Offset
Has anyone purchased and installed the Richland Forged RF-GT4 Staggered wheels with the new +44 rear M2 specific Offset and the front +25 CCB/M2C brake compatible Offset? I am seriously looking at a set of these for my 2021 M2C. I have seen the photos earlier in the post with more aggressive rear offset and am very glad to see the +44 option. I would like to install a bit wider tire front and rear as well. I think this setup will mitigate the chances of rubbing
Anyone have experience with these, the company, shipping etc? Thanks in advance..... |

Update, I just called Michelin again and they confirmed the tire will be released to market in the U.S. on 4/1/2021! Woo Hoo! These wheels should be an excellent fit for our cars.

Much Appreciated

I actually reached out directly to Richland and they have a couple sets of the 19x10.5 +44 offset wheels in production. He stated that lead time was 8 weeks. As much as I like the 763M, the gold with my Alpine White M2C is not my first choice, but the Hyper Silver looks great to me. The all black wheels just get lost on the car, in my opinion. I currently have Michelin PS4S on my 330ci ZHP that I track and can report they are a wonderful all around tire. Incredible in the wet and great grip. They may just be out of inventory as they shifted production last year to winter tires, they are now back to summer tires. I too will look for a bit wider size but not too wide. I really like the light rear end and ability to easily step the rear out at will with the 265's. Sadly, my car has been parked for the last 6 weeks with all the snow, sand and brine on the streets. Lets not even talk about the potholes!!! Only have 884 mile on it and it was delivered in late September 2020. I'm pretty convinced the Richlands will be my choice. |

I pulled the trigger on the RF wheels in the new size for the M2C. After much deliberation and Lyle sending me some finish samples I opted for the gloss black finish for my HS car. I'm not typically a fan of gloss black but I feel it works on this wheel and will compliment all the other gloss black trim on the car. I'm excited to get them. I'm also excited about the 285/30 Michelin PS4S becoming available. I'll post photos when I get them.
Next up, what's the best platform to lower the car a bit, fit the new wheels, and increase compliance a bit.

You might take a look at the TC Kline setup: single-adjustable front, double-adjustable rear Koni coilover suspension w/ 300(f)/600(r) VVS springs & TC Kline camber plates. That's what I went with-- I've only driven it from the shop to home on stock wheels/tires (since the Apex's are stuck on a boat somewhere in the Pacific), but just in that short ride, I'm **very** pleased-- much more compliant, but still has that taught feeling. Once the wheels come in, I'll be doing the 265/285-30 combination as well. R. |

285/30/19's won't be released until 1 Apr in the US, so probably tough to get a good data point on that just yet.

Blank
I actually received samples of the Brushed Tinted Black and Brushed Tinted Dark. After speaking with Lyle several times I was thinking I'd go with a double coat of Brushed Tinted Dark. When I received the samples it confirmed that the "Black" had quite a bit of brownish earth tones which was not the hue I was looking for. The "Dark" was nice, but was lighter in color than I wanted, even if it was doubled up. I chose the gloss black as I thought it would work well with the other black gloss bits. While maybe, not as fun, safe. Hard for me as I don't usually do safe.
Based on research I'm hopeful the new 265/30 Michelin's will work well, but we shall see. It seems the Michelin's run narrower than other brands in the same size, and of course they will be a smaller OD. I'm also not lowered (yet).

Ordered wheels; got samples, pics coming - and a tire question
Howdy!
First - the folks are Richland Forged are pretty awesome. They're really responsive, and very helpful. I am really impressed. I ordered a set of wheels 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to getting them. I also got samples of brushed tinted black & brushed tinted dark. Wanted to post pics of the samples against the mineral grey M2 so anyone considering these colors on their OGMGM2 (did I just make a vanity plate??) have an idea what to expect. I left the pics large so you could really see the color against the mineral grey. The pics are taken in warm halogen bulbs in my garage, and with natural light - but it's a cloudy/rainy day. I'll post pics in the sun this weekend. Tried to show a few different angles with each color. EDIT - sun came out today & took the samples & car out into the sun. Didn't changed/help the appearances on the MG - but the brushed dark black looked AWESOME in the sun. They're both amazing finishes. The tinted dark (which looks clear) to me - too expected. But machined silver wheels do look stunning on the MG color. Maybe if this was the actual clear vs dark finish, I'd personally like it more. The brushed tinted black. This has a VERY warm, brown/bronze tone, but more like color temp effect than an actual color. The gray very closely matches the MG, but the warm/bronze tone is not warm & bronze enough. Makes it look like the wheel was painted to match the MG color, but the paint shop got the tone wrong. So the colors work - but then again, they really don't. I see the brushed black looking incredible on a white or silver car, maybe blue? DEFINITELY black - I think that would be really stunning. It would look black - but without the wheel getting lost on the car or disappearing into the wheel well/with the tire, etc... (like black wheels can often do.) Now I have a tire question, if folks can help. 9.5" front with ET25 & 10.5" rear ET44. Will 265/35 front & 285/35 rear fit on stock suspension? I have no plans to lower the car. I know 265/30 & 285/30 fit - but I don't want to wreck the ride quality, or have an even larger gap with the fender. Plus, I think the 30 ratio results in a diameter than is sufficiently small to effect speedom/odom (??)

So I just ordered a set of these rims and was planning on 265 up front and either 285 or 295 for the rear. Why do I need to change the camber and if so can I adjust the stock camber plate or do I need to install aftermarket plates?

You may need to adjust camber to avoid rubbing with the inside of the fender, the wheel well lining, the suspension... Camber plates either allow for adjustment when camber is not adjustable (could be the case with the M2 - don't know for sure) or is too limited to allow for enough adjustment for clearance.
I pretty much trust the forum members - esp ones with high rep - with their advice. If they say camber plates are needed to accommodate a tire set up, I'm going with it. I have a feeling I will need it, too. You can also go with 265/30 & 285/30. I am actually talking with a forum member now with whom this set up works. The issues is finding matching tire sets. I think Michelin is coming out with the PS4S in 285/30 in April. They already have the 265/30. And I've seen these sizes in the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric, too.

I'm waiting on this setup. But I'm also waiting on my Apex wheels, so it'll more or less work out I suppose. Camber plates and TCK suspension already installed. |
