Ended up keeping the stock pads and powdercoating the wheels bronze. Hoping that a by-product of that mod will be less visible dust, lol.
Nah...I powdercoated my 763Ms silver and it added nothing to stop the insidious dust. And I'm serious...I like the Hawk pads better. So much easier to modulate with great stopping power. I no longer feel like a 15 year old behind the wheel for the first time when I brake at low speeds.

A few years back I replaced the OEM brakes (rotors and pads) on my E93 with some from FCP Euro and the brake dust issue was gone. It seems to be an OEM brake issue that aftermarket brake pads don't have as much for whatever reason. This is my big plan when it's brake time, I'm just going to use an aftermarket pad.

Oh, and 788s and 763s are ceramic coated as well. Cause it's awesome.

Didn't notice a difference at all. The only knock is that rears don't have slots for the sensors. I just spliced the wires and tucked them in the wheel well. No CEL.

Ok. Well I guess I will get the 788s since that is what the car comes with. Then I will ignore the wheels and pretend they're not dirty. Or just embrace the distressed look of the wheels.

My car now has 11K miles and i've noticed a lot less brake dust. So there's light at the end of the tunnel, guys.

Its simple, really. You see, take the circumference of the wheel, then the circumference of the rotor, inverse Pie and add 58 (that's the base price of the car). The sixth Rule of Acquisition dictates...I'm guessing less pad life lol.

I ended up with aftermarket rims [HRE Classic 300] in an easy to clean color [brushed dark clear] and had them ceramic coated. They look complex/hard to clean but they are 10x easier than the 788's. I can clean one in couple minutes with a squirt bottle and a microfiber towel. I'm also running Ferodo DS2500 brake pads which helps with the dust. They dust less and the dust color is a better match.

Side of the car after a track day. The dust is crazy.

This, IF referring to ceramic coating them. Less dust gets attached to them and it rinses off easily with just water
