I spoke to an M product manager few weeks ago and he told meM2 GTS will not come because it will be just as expensive as an M4 GTS.
But BMW can change it's mind very fast. I am curious want gonna happen. I don t need an m2 gts which costs 2 times an M2. I put in some recaro s myself and a rear wing is ugly so i don t need that anyway. The weight will be not very lower then an org. m2 M4 GTS is just as heavy as a normal m4 also. And i want to drive stick |

I agree. What I want is probably closer to a CSL than a GTS. The quickest way to faster is lighter ! I want the Moto GP safety car, licensed for the road - and absolutely with a manual gearbox please. |

IF that's what you want... I'm sure TuningWerk could fix you up. All it takes is cash. Their 740Hp 1M was amazing around the 'Ring. They have built plenty of safety cars too.

I am happy how my M2 is now.
Black kidney s. 2 recaro s Planned Pagid yellows rs29 Srf brake fluid Eibach pro kit or suspension upgrade I would like to add more lightness Carbon hood Carbon roof Carbon rear deck The CSL style is more to my liking then an GTS. GTS is to much with the rear wing and with the 20 inch wheels and orange colour. I like a rear roll cage but only in a black colour so it does not get to much attention. I can do without an rollcage for my daily use and occasional trackday. If you look back in time the e46 m3 CSL was almost perfect the only thing wrong was the smg2 gearbox. M2 CSL manual Just get an m2 manual en add lightness! The perfect M2 CSL would be. M2 CSL 19 inch CSL style wheels org m2 brakes so 18 inch wheels can be fitted no expensive ceramic brakes Silver Grey colour style Carbon hood Carbon roof Carbon rear deck with integrated flap spoiler like the e46 m3 Csl Carbon door trims llike the e46 m3 csl with dooropeners like the GTS Alcantara steering wheel like the gts Alcantara used in front and rear seats. Recaro SPG XL with Alcantara clothing. Less sound proofing into the car to add more lightness. Engine standard no need for more hp. Exhaust standard i don t need more sound. For me it s more then enough. No active sound over stereo please! Carbon rear diffuser with nice titanuim tips on orginel exhaust system. Strut Bar carbon from m4 Lower the a car a little bit but no adjustable kw most of us don t adjust it anyway. No way this car has to cost double the price. Make it 10000 euro more expensive. So it will be used and not go down into collector items. And build enough! Last edited by Advevo; 08-07-2016 at 04:29 AM.. |

But I don't think this going to happen really fast...maybe when they introduce the MK2 model of the GT4 (if that still has the NA engine and manual gearbox). When they introduce the 991.2 GT3 (with the option of a manual gearbox and a 4.0L engine) then indeed prices of a 991.1 GT3 (with PDK) will drop. But the price of a used 991.1 GT3 will probably not drop below the price of a used MK1 GT4....and I will still want a GT4.

IMO the engine of my dream M2 CSL can have the same power. I does not need more power in my opinion. Most "potential" M2 CSL buyers will also look at the engine performance. So maybe a small increase of 15-20hp in combination with the extra lightness is needed to make a bigger performance difference with the normal M2. And people will probably want more power in their M2 CSL then in a normal M2..for their state of mind.

When I think of it, the current value of my 2006 Z4M together with the value of my M2 on order is even below the value of the cheapest GT4 that is for sale... But I'm not complaining! I will keep my two M-cars instead When the GT4 was available I wanted it so bad and it was on top of my wishlist... At the time I could not afford it and I also needed a new car that I could use everyday next to my Z4M roadster. The M2 is the first car besides the GT4 that got me almost equally exited. With a pricetag of €40.000 less and everyday usuability it received a green light from me to actually buy one. Of course a GT4 and M2 are not realy comparable, but both are great cars for people who love driving....and that kind of cars (with not over top prices) are getting rare these days.

With many dealers charging mark ups, rave reviews and BMW already not making enough M2's it's hard to imagine that any CS/CSL/GTS will be affordable or available. I'd love to be proved wrong but your list sounds like an awesome dream, but a dream none the less.
