They don't need to be particularly tight. The fastener tightness in this case doesn't have anything to do with the behavior of the brace, which really only has the ends "pinned" in place from a functional standpoint. Unlike, say, a head bolt, where the clamping force is paramount, as long as the brace can't "squirm around", there's plenty of clamp.

I recently went in for a brake fluid flush. My service warranty is expiring in May, as that will be 3 years on my '21 M2C. My service advisor said he would do the next "big" service that is slated to pop up after my service warranty expires. It included cabin filters, oil change, and spark plugs. I have 13,9xx miles on my M2C, and it was well before they needed all of it, but I figured why not since it's free so they took care of it. Definitely did not need new ones, but free is free and I appreciated my service advisor taking care of this for me while still under the service warranty. They also replaced my wiper blades for free. This was Fields BMW in Winter Park, FL.

Just took my ‘21 M2C to BMW Seattle for my last service before the 3year maintenance is up @ 21.3k mi here’s what they covered:
Oil service Replaced spark plugs Updated telematics control unit (3G to 5G) Replaced intake air filters Flushed brake fluid No car wash 😀 Had the car in at 7A and out by 1P, smooth sailing. |

My SA Alex told me they had to update/reprogram telematics as 3G will be deprecated for 5G.

^^ This was the issue addressed. An issue with calls not going out over VoLTE. The hardware supports it, but firmware has a bug.
