I am getting around 230-240 miles per tank, with mixed highway and city driving. And this was during break in period didn't even push her hard. Driving mode is sport for my daily driving.

I am lucky to get 200 miles per tank on my F80, and I believe the tank is bigger than the 2er's.

I met another EDer at the Nurburgring and we were on the Ring together and he ran out of gas doing laps with his M2c. lol. M2 tank is really small, but i'm okay with it.

What's all this relate to MPG I know it's common where people are like "I don't concern gas mileage on my sports car" but I certainly don't feel that way yet. The tank size is small but at the end of the day the website states 24mpg city 34mpg highway. Whether this is true or not I'm curious to hear from someone who finished their Break-in service and hasn't been red lining after every stop light haha. If this is correct with 27mpg combined I'm more than happy.

I've finished break-in service, and I don't redline off every signal light. I'm getting ~21 mpg, and need to fill up at about the 200 mile mark every tank. I got DCT, but always drive in manual mode, Sport+, and S3 transmission setting. I'm not redlining off every signal light, but by the same token, I bought the car to have fun driving, so the last thing I'm keeping my eye on is mpg. I think it would be possible to get 24 / 34 mpg if you a) put the car in full auto, b) set throttle in comfort, and c) set transmission in D1. But, if you did that, why own an M car? At that point, we may as well go buy a Prius, right? |

Averaging 20.2 mpg according to the vehicle. Break-in service already done and I’m at about 1650 miles on the clock. Only have used Shell V-Power 93 gas.
I’d say modest driving style... let her warm up coming out of the neighborhood to not wake the neighbors, jog her down to the I526 Ramp and then give her the beans on the windy ramp passing civics and such and finally touching 100mph and that’s my thrill for the day.. bring her back down and cruise control for the rest of the 5 miles to work. |

If you are cruising on a highway long distances why would you not do all of those things.

I am not cruising on the highway long distances. Mix of city and short distances on the highway is what I do M-F and then canyons and mountains on weekends. |

I like to imagine I am playing Out Run, from my original SEGA days, and every car I pass, I get a point. I don't do the cruise thing.... EDIT - I have never used Comfort and Cruise Control at the same point. Why would you artificially neuter the experience? It's in manual DCT, Sport + at all times. Hardest shift veracity as well.

I have literally NEVER been in comfort nor sport mode on throttle, nor have I been in automatic in this car. Set up the M1 button with manual DCT, Sport+ throttle, when I bought it, and drove off the lot that way and have used that 100% over 4,000 miles now! |

Reminds me of an old bastard I used to see on the SRT in Dallas doing 5 under. In the right lane. In his GT3.

the computer says 19.7 if you do the math its actually 18.8 50/50 hy-city. My og was 21.7 and the computer was accurate? That was my first German car that didn't high side the MPG.
Most trip computers are like a country club scale. A country club scale tells you that you weigh less than you actually do so you keep paying your membership..carl |
